Since the early 2000’s Armwood, Lakeland, Plant, Cocoa, Booker T, Miami Central, and Northwestern all have TONS of titles. No one makes a peep.

Tend to agree with Dan on this topic.  CMD should not be discounted in this discussion as Friday we will be able to compare what Central does vs AHP relative to what CMD did to them. 

I told you I wouldn’t mind splitting it any way you want as long as it’s not watered down. What’s wrong with the rural class playing in 1S? There should be 6 total classes. I don’t care how you create the classes. Just make 6 max for a good product 

No what I’m saying is Live Oak needs to get better. Teams in Miami are being punished for some of them being good and rural North FL team are being rewarded for mediocrity.  
 
the point is you don’t separate teams just because one team has more success and is better. Unless you aren’t watering  it down during a split. I get bad teams not playing top teams but don’t split it. We don’t need 9 classes. 6 at most 

It would be wrong for me to speculate what went wrong as I know nothing about their squad as I obviously have more interest in mine.  My point is setting high expectations is what teams should do, but if you overstate were they stand you open yourself up for people to pile on.  It's not my intent, just my observation. 

Maybe some of the DFB players brought over some of their culture of the hype they always had with the talent on paper when they were wit DFB and thought that they would be better off grouped with Dillard but fell back into their old routine when the big lights shined on them.

Unfortunately "HYPE" is the operative word in your analysis.  It's one thing to be biased and pull for your home team (I plead 100% guilty), but when it's over the top you better be sure you can back it up.  Otherwise you are only left with the excuses you so ably point out.   Honestly, I was pulling for them because they have had their share of disappointments.  As you said the fan base needs to be supportive but relax with all the hyperbole as that also leads players believing it rather than just grinding.

Dillard probably leads the nation in penalties.  Until Dillard PROVES they are a top tier program on the field....I hope their fan base relax in the preseason and on social media. Dillard continues to be who we thought they are. An overrated, undisciplined, and poorly coached team. Congrats to Ely and the Pompano community. Their head coach should be the South Florida coach of the year for turning that program around. Best wishes to them versus STA.

Yea to end the season this way is tough. But the way Dillard played they didn’t deserve to win. Playing like this next week would’ve gotten them running clocked at STA. I’m going to always go hard for Dillard but like I put on the alumni board a few min ago ; enough of the excuses. It’s not the refs fault, it’s not because of lack of talent Dillard as a FOOTBALL program has NO HEART & that pains the hell out of me to say which is scary because you can’t teach that. No heart & no coaching & you won’t get far. As shown tonight. 

Damn tough end to Dillards season.   It is however good seeing Ely and Dillard back to being their usual tough as nail squads they used to be.   Now we have to see if and when DFB bounces back.  

First and foremost congrats to ely on the win tonight this is one of their better defenses they’ve had in a very long time, add the few defensive pieces they got from Deerfield and the new DC they added they’re most def the truth. Great game tigers. 
 
as for Dillard, THE ENTIRE OFFENSIVE COACHING STAFF need to go along with the the head coach. They run the most childish basic predictable offense I ever seen. 
 
As for the head coach , you bench the starting quarterback 5 games ago because of his countless mistakes ; you then put in the sophomore quarterback whose showed waaay more promise win you your last 4 games & then soul bowl come around and you bend him for the SR qb!?!!!! And your reasons are “THIS IS HIS LAST SOUL BOWL he’s a SR” I wouldn’t give a got dam are you trying to win games or popularity contest ?!??
not only that but you keep the sophomore on the bench for the first round & second round of the playoffs as our offense continues to look inept as hell as it has in EVERY BiG game we’ve been the last few years! 
 
time & time again ely tried to give Dillard this game but our HC & OFFENSIVE STAFF is so dam pathetic they refused to make and changes to what has shown to be a UNSUCCESSFUL offensive game plan. TIME & TIME AGAIN our offense is the problem & the key problem as to why we lose these big games and at this point I’m over it. Talent wasn’t the problem this year it never is we str8 poop the bed tonight we didn’t deserve to win this Dillard team has NO HEART from the coaches to the players!! & no matter how much talent you have you can’t teach heart! Congrats ely on advancing to the next round. 

Incredible performance by Blanche Ely tonight to knock off Dillard. Second straight year that Dillard has overlooked their second-round opponent in anticipation of a rematch with STA, and it bit them once again! Dillard should have blown Blanche Ely away and had their rematch with STA. But instead, Ely has now earned the right to try to become the first team since Miami Edison in 2003 to KO Aquinas in a home playoff game. Hats off to the Tigers on a stellar defensive performance!

If it's not a team they have heard of they think they suck, the reality is a NAME doesn't mean they are a great team in the CURRENT season. People thought MNW should have been top 10 in my poll in preseason because of the BULLS BRAND and I never bought it because I saw they still aren't the dominant bulls on paper they would need to be to win with their staff and 4 losses to date including being smashed by Central, homestead and Chaminade proves it 
 
As for what you said about Chaminade, if STA went and beat MNW by the margin Chaminade did you would be saying that STA should be number 2 in the country behind IMG, I don't care if STA and Chaminade play but it would have been an interesting matchup this year
 
Chaminade resume to date is better than STA and has earned being ranked higher 

Plantation will b a game, like Miramar, that shows the Panthers can take care of business with the good unranked teams, showing their superiority (Norland) of them, while being beneath the elite in the nation(STA, Cham, Central) at present time. 

I'll be rooting for Dillard, hopefully they play tough all 4 quarters and don't lose themselves when things get tough like they did in the second half against Central and Chaminade. The fact that their able to stay in those games at halftime should've been plenty of motivation being that both of those teams are top teams in the nation.
That meltdown against Chaminade shocked me, especially with all the social media talk.

On the other hand I think Chaminade's offense is better. Central's special team's return game is better because #2 can take it to the house anytime he touches. I was at the game last night. Central just on another level than Dillard. Game could have easily been 28-7 at halftime central way if #10 from central would not have dropped those 2 deep bombs. Dillard did fumble on the goal line but they got down there after a questionable personal foul call when central hurt #6 from Dillard. No excuses about the rain. It rained at the end of the 2nd qtr and the end of the 4th qtr when the game was out of reach. And the rain actually helped stop one of central redzone drives at the end of the second qtr.  Dillard players seemed like they quit after central returned the punt for a touchdown in the 3rd qtr. Dillard was beat in all three phases of the game. The only thing that slowed central down was countless holding penalties and false starts on offense. Central defense were extremely physical all night.  Central is NATIONAL POWERHOUSE PROGRAM. Dillard is a solid south florida team with alot of talented players. But I don't think their a state powerhouse and nowhere near a national powerhouse. I would put them in the same category as Western, Gulliver and Homestead.

Rockets are #1 in the state. I believe Chaminade is a close, very close 2cd best in the state. There are only 2 teams in Dade With a chance for Titles: Central & Columbus. They are the only real good teams in Dade this year. Homestead, TBD. American Heritage & Gibbons have the ONLY chance in the state, 2M Reg 3, to beat Central. Rockets would b 2 TD favorite over AH, & 3 TD favorite over Gibbons. 
 
As far a Dillard goes, they’ve simply been hyped way too much, because of all the transfers they received! They might b the 5th -7th best team in Broward. Def behind Cham, Aquinas, AH, Gibbons. Maybe even behind Plantation, Western, or Calvary Christian (lol). 
Dillard cannot win on the big stage. Not only can’t they win…..THEY FLOP.
