This rule is such bullshit. Clearly this is going on, especially through third parties like the players themselves. I've seen plenty of recruiting texts to our players from players of another team.
Correct. Player to player but also “coach to neighborhood to player” a lot of ways to INITIATE transfers. There’s some on here that love these super teams. I think it’s ruined HSFB. 80% (if not higher) of teams in the state will have no chance of winning a state championship.

No Booker T?
I think a season where Armwood goes unbeaten with most or all games being blowouts is going to be interesting. Their taking of most of Sumner's best players appears to be completely overlooked by most. I don't think people realize this may be the best Armwood team ever, based on raw talent. I just think folks who have no clue about the 2024 team will dismiss that claim out of hand.
Yeah BTW & Homestead. Broncos get a stud QB from Jersey, plus STA ain’t in their class this year. Big things for the Broncos.
it’ll probably be Gibbons vs BTW for the region in 2a.- KeemD321 and Nulli Secundus

Agree. I’m in contact for years with a diehard Armwood fan & this year is their best team in quite awhile, if ever! Nice opener VS Norland will be a good one.

Jullian here. Looking forward to the round robin with STA, AHP, & Chaminade. Western, Monarch, Coconut Creek & Gibbons should b solid. Dillard, Stranahan, & Miramar have potential…….Plantation?? Ely? & Will Deerfield ever be prevalent again!!!! That’s Broward.
other teams I’m looking at: NW, Central, Norland, Armwood, Sumner, Lakeland, Naples, Bishop Verot, Hawthorne, Vanguard, Apopka, Mainland, Berkeley Prep, CCC, Buchholtz, Niceville, Dunnellon, South Sumpter, Kiss Osceola, Jones, Lake Mary, Lincoln, & Venice……

Crazy. But to be fair, Columbus really isn't "active" with transfers this year like CC (I wish we were). On that list we had a grand total of 3 transfer in and 1 transferred out - none of them starred players. By comparison Carol City had 13 transfer in. We really could use a few transfers this season! LOL!
Just want to put that out there, because I know some folks on this site, particularly those upstate, who love to complain about how the privates (at least in BROWARD) have this perceived unfair advantage when it comes to transfers, in DADE it is the super publics who dominate at this game. Not taking away anything from the fact that the privates are usually better funded with better facilities, but Columbus has NEVER had more than maybe 7-8 transfers in a single season ever and usually its 3-5 max.
MC and MNW are on another level altogether.
But to your point, what the hell is going on in Sarasota? Sounds like there is more to that story? Sleepy town politics? That's so messed up.
Agree. They were on Blu’s list once or twice.
-
Here are the schools with the most “transfers” via Blustein as of 8/17.
Central leads the way with 6 out of state transfers(AlabamaX2, Arkansas, Rhode IslandX2, & Colorado). Unparalleled by any school IN the state outside of IMG.
Dade:NW 18. Central 15. Norland 14. Homestead 10. Carol city & Columbus active also.
Broward:
Monarch 17. Chaminade 14. Western 14. Coconut Creek 13. STA 12. Gibbons & Stranahan active also.
SO U EXCITED ABOUT THE SEASON????
imagine the coach from improving Sarasota Booker gets “arrested” by the FHSAA for attempting to recruit ONE player.

Double elimination is absolutely STUPID!!! Who da hell came up with that? Oh, never mind……..
-
I’m up in Lake City(getting da hell outta So Flo) for a week. Stopped by Columbia to see the school & stadium. Luckily the players were there doing conditioning. As usual they have some big boys, tall boys, fast boys, & many boys. Would like to see them do well.
-
Don’t throw in the towel yet Columbus, rumor has it, off the street, not from the administration or coaches, that Central & Chaminade are holding a recruiting seminar , of course for pay. Topics like 1) How to recruit the Nation & make it look like “your team was sought out”. 2) How to get over 20 transfers without the FHSAA questioning it. 3) How to reach over to Naples & other out of countyFlorida non powers & snatch their best players for the betterment of high school football. Etc……
-
I’m glad those recruiting rules don’t apply to Broward & Dade county…….
-
Yeah then everyone’s alarm clock rang & woke up from dreaming to the state governing body, the FHSAA.

Chaminade is probably the class of the state.

Columbus looked good. BP looked good. If Homestead could kick a FG most of us on here would be celebrating.
lakeland and mainland won classics.
Bradford was tough and played Cocoa fairly close.
looking forward to things going back to normal next year with seven classes and that open division will make teams like Chaminade and St. Thomas earn titles (although this year was probably the year to get STA) Should be interesting.
Lol!!!! Make St Thomas & Chaminade earn titles???? Wow. Glad the Aquinas haters didn’t get to come on here & celebrate. Well that’s every year, I guess. The final score will always be the bottom line. Woulda, coulda, Shoulda, if & but have never beaten AQUINAS! The FG kicker never had the chance, the arrogant coach took away any chance for victory with his dumb decisions.
-
“Could've. Would’ve. Should’ve. If. But.”
all the way to 15 State Championship Titles!!!!!! The most hated team in the state of Florida, without a close 2cd. The FINAL SCORE IS ALWAYS, ALWAYS THE ONLY NUMBER THAT MATTERS!!!! OPINIONS HAVE NEVER WON A STATE TITLE…… -
Dunbars offense couldn’t do anything all game. The only chance they had was to get it in their athlete’s hands in open space!!!!! When Naples was at AHP they never kicked it deep because of the Pat’s athletes. They kicked a high 20/30 yd kickoff forcing AHP to fair catch or take a chance of fumbling it. Worked great……….Horrible way to lose.

I actually think Coconut Creek will keep the game against Aquinas close before losing. They are a solid team and I don't think this is the best team St. Thomas has put out there.
Agree. Creek has the defense to hang with Aquinas. BUT if Aquinas scores quick, wins the field position game(which they almost always do), excels, as usual in every phase of special teams, & win the turnover Battle (which they almost always do), the defense will wear out. STA has improved incredibly since the beginning of the season.

They haven't lost to a Florida team since September of 2021 (and only have lost once since then in an after the season game). Is this the week that Chaminade finally loses? Cardinal Newman led by Jack Daniels (formerly of W.T. Dwyer) is leading the team. They got a bunch of highly rated transfers in. Newman lost an ugly rain fill game against Miami Northwestern early in the year. Newman's season schedule only has Palm Beach Central as the remaining participant.
Meanwhile, Chaminade-Madonna schedule has remaining playoff teams of:
Coconut Creek
American Heritage (Plantation)
Cardinal Gibbons
Miami Central
So if Newman stays within two scores, it is a victory, right?Yeah just like Creek’s claim to fame. Losing to Chaminade by single digits…..lol

Both teams have to play better this Friday than the regular season game. That was an eyesore!!!!! Especially VB. OMGOSH!!!!!! Hard to think there’s an “underdog here????” I guess by seed or homefield…….I’m staying with Treasure Coast to advance. Indians looked like a bunch of 3-4 star misfits, playing their individual game…..

I hope you are wrong. At the end of the day, it's only a football game. There are far worse trials and tribulations in life than losing a football game to your most hated rival.
I agree but todays youth don’t……

Well for the 2nd time in back to back weeks dillard panthers & the tigers will be facing off.
last week the tigers held on for a 33-28 victory at home. And will look to end the panthers season for the 2nd consecutive season.
dillard on the other hand after losing over 30 transfers and bringing in a new coach, the panthers are looking to make it to the 2nd round for the third consecutive year.
this year has been a challenging year , but hopefully all the highs and lows we’ve been through would all show worth it in a post season win vs our hated rivals this Friday.
win or lose tho I’m riding with that blue & gray. Letsss goooo.
If the Panthers lose again to Ely, they’ll b bringing in new coaches again….This is probably the best game in So Flo. The rest of the games gonna b Beatdowns. I’m going to the West Boca @Atlantic game. Haven’t seen the Eagles this year. I don’t expect bullets to b whizzing by my head either……..If Dillard loses to Ely again, there may b trouble. If Ely gets eliminated by Dillard, there may b trouble……

Lakeland is coming out of this region without a doubt. They would be the favorites in any given year but the region is down this year so their path is pretty easy this year. However, they may find a couple teams put up a fight rather than lay down. Mitchell in their opener may hang around until the third quarter before ultimately losing by 14+.
This ain’t the usually tough Mitchell. Very mediocre.
-
Cmon man……this is the easiest region. Put up a team that isn’t gonna get beat by at least 24 points. Most regions at least have another team that has a chance to beat the #1 seed. This a joke if you deal with reality. Embarrassing.

KOC, first game to start the season, or scrimmage….Both teams will leave it all in the field. Both teams will be 0-0 after this game but don’t think for a second it won’t influence the national polls!!!!
