"He Stumbled & Fumbled" A Great Game

Recommended Posts

Travis Henry, a Frostproof grad and one of the greatest rb's in FL hs history, played 4 years at Tennessee, rushing for 3,078 yards. He made the All-SEC team in 2000, his senior year.  He was drafted by the Buffalo Bills, where he became one of the Bills' all-time leading rushers.  Henry played for 7 seasons in the NFL, where he rushed for about 6,000 career yards.

Playing for Tennessee in a game that featured one of the most improbable endings in NCAA history, Travis Henry(#20) took over at the end of the game and scored the winning touchdown.  The fun starts at about 4:00, when everyone thought the game was over.  The article below discusses the game.

    • Once Edgewater begins playing high school teams, they will be fabulous! This was just a throw away game, I guess, to get their kids some film against IMG. But, moving forward, they will only be playing high school teams. They may still be the favorite in 7A North bracket if we have a state playoff that looks anything like last year.
    • Exactly, OldSchool!  Jesse's been driving up and down I-95 from Miami to Ft. Pierce and can't seem to find a single Brevard County store that's open for business.  Tragic indeed.
    • I would say Oakleaf and Sandalwood were the two most talented teams in the area last year and neither could make the playoffs. It’s clearly coaching.    Columbia has enough talent on a year in year out basis to compete for a final four appearance, occasionally they have enough to win a state title. Whether they do it or not is up to a couple of factors, one of which is coaching
    • Actually 48-7. IMG must have scored after I turned it off. To handle the 3rd or 4th best team in the state that way is amazing. The game was very competitive in the first half.
    • 42-7 IMG   Glad I didn't go (or really wasn't allowed too) IMG's games are dull to start with, no real fans, cheerleaders from another school, a pep band with no allegiance to the school, no pizzazz...(and that was pre China Flu days) Add in that most of their games are like this...blowouts... No doubt you see some quality players who all will be playing on Saturday's but... Imagine I would have been bored by halftime.
