I remember the 97' championship game between Columbia and carol city and was thinking do any of you all think that either of those teams could have ended the 151 streak of De Le Salle bc they were good in California but never played teams out of state that much and those 2 teams were likey the 2 best in florida that year and was wondering if you all think the streak would have ended had they traveled to florida to play either of those teams?

Not sure. Sadly we'll never know. Columbia and Carol City were both awesome. Great coaching and great athletes along with fantastic fans. However, I don't know. We can look at DLS but they played such soft competition in Northern Cali it's tough to know if they really would've lost.

both teams were national top of the line teams out of the state of florida so I think they could have but of course we will never know

Maybe I'm Florida biased. I do believe they could. What kinda schedule do you have to win 150.

now il give De Le Salle credit, they deserved those wins, but either Miami carol city from 97 or Columbia from 97 would have been better then probley 99% of the teams they played during that streak

I don't think DLS would've won 50 in a row playing in South Florida at that time of their streak. Too many good teams and too much talent. They played and still play no one up in Northern California

they would not have won 50 straight in florida period, at the time north florida had serval good teams, probley better then now, so the streak would not have went that far, but I think either of those teams that played in state title in 97 would have beaten them
