7 guys ran sub 4.4 40's this year in the NFL combine but Columbia had 3 on their high school team.  smh

Trenton would have put a running clock on Columbia in a half in 2015.

For a fact a true 1A team in Hawthorne and there enrollment is about the same size as James Madison, Something to think about right their. 

I have no idea Jbaby. Does it really matter? The charter school began in 2013 magically Madison's enrollment began to drop and by 2015 they were 1A. Without the charter school my guess is Madison would have lost to Raines in the 4A semis or played Cocoa for the ship in 4A this year. The same as y'all did the previous 15 years. Nothing has changed except the enrollment at Madison which allowed them to compete in 1A. 

Thats fine talk from a school that manipulates there numbers to squeak into 1A. Everyone knows a TRUE 1A School does not have 60 team players EVERY Year! Much less graduate 20 SR or more every year. Why dont you just man up admit the truth? As a true 4A school you couldn't hack it in 4A.

No sour grapes on my end. I say congrats on winning the whole thing. The folks who started the charter didn't do it to get Madison  into 1A,  but to  believe it doesn't benefit Madison in sports is just foolish. You play with the rules given and that's what y'all did. Obviously the Fhsaa is at fault but we all know they are a bunch of clowns anyway. To Dorsey, Jbaby and the rest of the Madison fans congrats, those titles are hard to come by for the public school. 

Just to help some other folks to understand this not about sour grapes but to understand the problems with small school football. James Madison has 190 students more than enough students to field a football team. Do you really think it would be fair to place James Madison in the same classification Madison County ?  Some will say the charter school is not big enough to have a football program but i will remind you that Hawthorne has had one for ever and their enrollment is 164, Jefferson county is also around the same size at 198 and they have won more Championships than Madison County.    

That's what a lot of people dont want to understand. (For example if Trenton turned there school into a charter school and did not offer sports the kids at Trenton could go play football or any sport for that matter at Bell and Bell High School would not have to count the Trenton enrollment. There by keeping them in 1A with a official FHSAA count. When in fact they would be choosing a team based on a total enrollment of around 700 or more kids) In my opinion if any student from a Public Charter or Private school is allowed to play sports at the local public high school because that school does not offer sports then the public high school that accepts them must count the entire enrollment of the school sending the kids for classification purposes. That's the only way to close the loophole in the rules.    

I appreciate the invite Dorsey but I don't have to. I just happened to eat lunch this week with one of the guys who signed on the loan for the school. I would guess that he probably knows little bit about it considering he has an investment in it. Again I am not trying to take away from Madison as a team or program, only explaining how they arrived in 1A.

I shared that on the board a couple of weeks ago.  Palmer has been at practice and upstairs during the last game and in the locker room pregame and at the half.  Josh Dailey is performing HC duties and running day to day operations but Palmer is taking a bigger part in things over the last week and a half.  I don't know what next year holds but PSJ will have about 20 seniors.  I do know that after the news story broke that there were multiple coaches from successful high schools and some D1 college assistants that made contact with the school about the job.  I do know that the job is not open at this time and the school is not actively seeking a replacement for Palmer.  Ideally everyone associated with PSJ would like to see Coach Palmer get a clean bill of health and return to his duties.

Of course the charter school kids are allowed to play sports at MC if they choose to do so with out affecting the count

It wouldn't have taken us 3 years to finally win state in 1a (baring you all don't blow it on Friday to Pahokee)
 
 
And brag about 1 regular season win all you want, you all fail to mention you all had a full week to prep while we had 2 days
 
 
When you come to Lake City next year we are going to prove you can't beat us when on a level playing field

Madison is head and shoulders above the rest of the class. 
This reminds me of the complete domination Trenton had a few years ago. 
Pahokee is very good, but Madison should win comfortably and then destroy Baker or Blountstown. 
If Madison County loses it will be the biggest upset of the entire playoffs. 

Madison just hasn't played any tough competition,  you can't fill your schedule with cupcakes like Columbia and expect to be ready for the 1A playoffs.  

I think East Mississippi Community College is about to get a whole hellava lot better for 2018.
