Grats man, I forgot what 19 was like. 

WEll,. back at it again for the Basketball playoffs.
Choctaw has taken the district crown. They have a chance at breaking regional, but to state? maybe a long shot. 

Columbia was able to sweep vanguard this year and will be playing Gainesville next Tuesday for number 1 seed in district and ability to host the tournament

just bumping this because I don't want to create a thread. 
 
Well my predictions were true, District: Choctawhatchee has this district on lockdown. I would be surprised to see Crestview upset them in the playoffs. Only got to one game so far for Crestview due to school schedule, and they played ok, but they don't have the talent like the other years. 
 

It is not solely Armwood.  All teams in 6A  Regions 1,2,3 have limited schedules compared to top Region 4 teams.
Including the playoffs, and looking at all of 6A in Regions 1,2, 3, Armwood arguably has had the hardest schedule.  That said, factored with the County AD approving the games , what more can they do?
Armwood may be somewhat handcuffed or limited in their scheduling ...
Either way, Armwood's schedule to me this year is one of the better schedules in years.

Choctaw, Crestview will probably be the big district contest again. From the panhandle, I don't know who else is gonna do good. Maybe Pensacola?

I just prefer sports where i wouldn't have to track points to find out who wins lol
 
I been to a few weightlifting meets but other than that i only go to games that are by score i can follow bc the way some sports do those meets are impossible for me to follow unless I'm asking after every group lol

When the dust settles, the school board will probably put it on the 2018 general election ballot. (I'm not sure if they can do county referendums during general elections) Or wait til May of 2019 for a mail in ballot, so progress will be postponed for a while. 
 
 

Our boys basketball team is even nationally ranked won the past 2 titles and can very well 3 Pete this year but our football team Tsk Tsk smh and what’s sad because Dillard has always been known as a football school guess things have changed 

The reality is that state championships should be allowed to be on Sunday. People should not have to take off work to see their school, classmates, and family play in a state championship.
Thursday 8 pm (1A)
Friday 4 pm (2A) and 8 pm (6A)
Saturday 12pm (3A) , 4 pm(5A) , 8 pm (7A)
Sunday 4 pm (4A) and 8 pm (8A) (use the schools that are closest to state final to play Sunday at 8pm)

The Crestview vs GB game was an awesome game. GB had a chance and definitely could’ve shaken things up. It would not shock me that Escambia beats Crestview. They are a completely different team from what they were earlier in the season. 

Do you all play in any major tournaments (or at least statewide tourneys)

Ik we play Hitchcock every year in basketball and while technically off-topic ik softball usually plays in Kissimmee klassic which one of most well known tournaments in Florida so if they go down There I'll be interested how they do

Point is these tourneys are definitely worth covering bc you can see so many teams at once 

I went through looking for the five biggest upsets from the playoffs. I think I did a pretty good job nailing down the ones that sent a shock through the state.

We were very close with Gainesville last year so of the 2 i think the gap between us and ghs is tighter than the gap with us and vanguard 

That'd be neat to see, Gainesville getting ousted or Vanguard. 

At this stage they are the 3rd best team in the district behind Gainesville and vanguard but that can change as the year goes on 
 
I'm looking forward to seeing how they do this year, hope they can finally beat GHS
