Okay so this is really who is the second greatest fan in high school football because as we all know Columbiahighfan is the most die hard heart on his sleeve fan in all of sports. It is a real shame every school doesn't have a fan like him. No matter the topic he can get it back to Columbia football in some way. I could care less. I have no opinion on his transfer one way or the other...This is just a string that we use to keep up with transfers.
I am fairly well versed in the history of STA players that have gone on to the pros as well....

I understand that, but you know damn well the school likely saw the writing on the wall over the summer. They could have at least said something in late July to allow the kids to make a smooth transfer out...then again they probably hope some of the kids will just stay since the school year starts next week and it is a headache for the kids and parents. I shouldn't speculate and Josh will bring us more details but making the announcement 3 weeks ago would have made a lot more sense.

I was reading a little bit on the Antonio Callaway story and it really got me thinking.  I'm not wanting to argue the case one way or another here that's not what this is all about.  I just want to encourage everyone to talk to any young men you may have influence over.  We need to remind these young men to be respectful of women and to treat women the way they would want someone to treat their mother or sister. We also need to help these young men realize that they need to respect themselves and have to look out for their own best interest.  They are under a microscope and everything they do is magnified.  There are people pulling them all directions putting all kinds of temptations in front of them and these young men have to make decisions that can affect the rest of their lives.  They encounter so many people trying to get a payday out of them and most don't know how to handle it.  Being in the company of the wrong people leads to so many problems.  We have all made mistakes and all young people will make mistakes hopefully ones they can recover from.  Please take every opportunity you have to mentor young men to help them achieve all the greatness they are capable of and avoid the snares and pitfalls that lie in their paths.

We played Taylor last year and again this year.  They were big and fast we beat them but you could see their potential.  Tanner really had them moving the right direction last year and they should make a lot of noise in 3A

Full pads go on tomorrow, guys. One can feel the gridiron in the air.  

Some of the teams in 3A mentioned in this article are silly..

Chaminade-Madonna has 18 players with a division 1 offer on their roster right now. By the time the current 4 year cycle finishes, we may come to find that the roster they're supporting in 2016 has upwards of 25 or 26 players that play college football at any level. Anybody who thinks the Lions are being slept on has tunnel vision, lives under a rock or is trolling the internet- they've been the most discussed team in 3A, moreso than JaxTCA.

CCC? Really? Nobody is sleeping on the Marauders- heck, multiple newspapers have painted them as going toe-to-toe with JaxTCA. As of Dilan Scargles Valpariso offer, they're up to 15 guys on the roster that have at least 1 Division 1 offer.  This is a senior laden team that has played together for 3 or 4 years. They've also added one of the top offensive linemen in the country to a line that already had a plethora of experience. This is another team that has upwards of 25 players that will play college football this cycle.

If you take the best 6 teams in 3A (JaxTCA, CCC, Chaminade, AHD, Oxbridge, Tampa Catholic) out of the picture. I think Taylor County is a great mention and I think another strong team being slept on is Holy Trinity with Jashuan Corbin.

The Classic is a final evaluation of all players on the team before the regular season. Just about every player gets a chance, including the JV, to show what they can do and how they can help the team. Just as a pre-season Sping game, the outcome of a KO Classic is meaningless. If a HC is doing his job then he could care less what the score is at the end only that he got some valuable information under a real situation and that none of his players got hurt.

Does that mean you also picking Columbia in Apopka game because I assume we will be underdogs for that game lol
