James................Unfortunately the Colts will probably be nowhere near what they were last season. They lost a bundle to graduation including their experienced QB and have a new HC. It would surprise me if they are even somewhat competitive with TCA. Although, as you stated, each team will use the Classic to assess their capabilities going forward. So, we may not be able to take this game as a true indicator of the upcoming season.  

I like AHP chances against CC and DBP, not to many teams going to have consistent success passing on that secondary

atleast that, could be more. If the Manatee starting QB doesn't play it could get ugly out their, he's recovering from a broken bone in his foot and he's doubtful for the Armwood game but should be ready week 1 in Alabama

STA vs BTW and Miami Central vs BTW is always 2 big games to look forward to

It's anybody's guess who finishes 1 and 2 in this district, outside of bayshore this district is really wide open this year which makes this district even funner to watch

It's possible they can fall short but I don't see it happening honestly, they're both so much better than everybody in their class come playoff time, last season was supposed to be Cocoa year again with BTW being so young and Cocoa still couldn't get by them

Hey who knows Dunnellon vs.Glades Central could actual play in the state championship this year.

This is a hard time to do a top 10 in Class 3A because of the moving parts right now. I feel 100% confident in my top 3 though.

1) Jacksonville Trinity- They're #1 until somebody beats them.
2) Clearwater Central Catholic - Team that benefits the most from Chaminade's fall. 
3) American Heritage Delray - Not as talented as years past Stallions, but Alec Sincfield and a strong defense get them in the top 3.

After the top 3, we have to see how many players end up transferring out of Chaminade. They lost Shaun Shivers, Xavier Williams and Keondra White and that star Sr safety (can't recall his name)- most importantly, they lost Coach Milgrom and most importantly, community support. Shivers was really the soul of that program. I don't believe that knocks them out of the top 10, but it does knock them out of the top 5 right now. How far out of the top 5 will be determined over the coming weeks. 

If I had to rank 4-10 right now based on what I know...

4) Tampa Catholic
5) Orlando First Academy
6) Oxbridge Academy
7) Chaminade-Madonna
8) Tampa Berkeley Prep
9) Ocala Trinity
10) Lakeland Christian

Again, we have to see where the pieces fall; however, as of July 31st if I had to give a top 10- I'd go with this. 


 

When I was writing teams down I dudnt see them in 3a so that's why I Dont have them, I would bump them up to 10

STA plays Dillard in the KOC, BTW against STA is week 1

Escambia is a payback game, we will be ready for it, Buchulz and Gainesville are good but both on the road at citizens field where we have proven to be capable of winning at and Bolles will not take us lightly but we should be ready after having 2 weeks to prepare

Weakest class is probably 2a, just not a lot of great teams in there, University christian or NFC seem to be the favorites there. Strongest class I would say is 8a, got a lot of really good teams in their that have a good shot to win it all, particularly 8a north

MC looks like they will definately start 3-0 heading into that huge clash with BTW in week 4

AHP could go undefeated but will be very tough, expecially in their first 3
STA should start 4-0 going into that huge game Sept 30th at Bishop Gorman
