Great game that came down to the end.  Osceola blocked a punt that set up a Fg with 2 minutes left to take a 13-10 lead.  Tanner Ingle returns the kickoff after dropping it about 50 yards to Osceola’s 30.  With 15 seconds left McCray gets forced out of the pocket and a LB steps up leaving a wide open D. Alford for the winning TD.  two really really good programs.  good luck DP next week.

Agree with Krunk about scheduling. They were probably a 7-8 team in region 1 under the perfect playoff system but no one schedules western Orange County teams. That is a fact and is why DP and Apopka always play each other.
When you create bubbles like that the teams just devour each other into lower winning percentages.
West Orange County is loaded with talent. The only area of the state with more talent in a smaller area is 305.

I would Play 9. You could play 9, give errbody week 10 OPEN, so FHSAA can git it all sckrait..... if they don't need it, then let school take their open when they want it.  Our Week 11 now would be Round 1, Round 2 is now still Round 2, same time, same place.
I don't think its a dilution of playoffs. Baseball, Basketball, swimming, BOWLING, swimming all have post season meets with Majority if not all in it.  I wold put all but like i said, Lyman would be 16th at 5-5, 17th was 2-8.....there is a delineation there and REALLY, 2-8 arguing to get in....?????? If anything I would say it takes the "committee" out of the decision making and leaves in the hands of the kids and that alone is worth putting 16 in...NOT district winner and runner up, Winner deserve to be IN, runner up may, Let Laz or Pinkos measure ALL facets of the season and determine seed.  I am even ok leaving district winner in top seeds, but you will see some blasted out of the water, but I'm OK with leaving it, they are IN.  Different griping being IN or OUT or about what seed you are ......that is not what is happening.
Yes that is what I'm saying, too close/easy to manipulate and FAVORS to GOOD to AVERAGE team NOT generally your BEST.  
Example, some teams, i will use West Orange as an example (it think many, Apopka DP, Booker T) cannot find games other than each other. West Orange had some of the team that are IN THE PLAYOFFS flat out say "No we don't want to play yall." That Good - Average team(s) can say that and then has the pick of whomever they want to play - lower class Cat 1s will play them in hopes to pick them off, Average same Class will play them because they think they can match up
So YES West Orange 6-4 is stronger than Spruce Creek's record, I believe Boone's record, Seminole Lake Mary, is a little tougher for me to call .....but wait......hold on........I'm gonna say it.......West 6-4 is Stronger than Flagler Palm Coast's...... OH MY KRUNK, NOYOUDIDN'T!?!?!?!?!?!

Most interesting field I have ever seen in Florida's top class. I haven't done pickem's in a while but will for the top half of 8A. I think we will see some excellent games.

Right now I like Apopka & Wekiva in region 1, and Vero/DP/Osceola in region 2. My pick would be Wekiva and Vero Beach for the final four as of right now. That would be an amazing matchup of elite offense vs elite defense. Both of those teams can be upset, which makes it very interesting.

DP is in a funk on offense. 
They basically return their entire OL from last year, have a better QB, more talented receivers and two college level running backs.
This team was 0-0 with Oak Ridge at the half (but won 41-6).
Something is just off. If they do fix it, then this offense will be better than last year's. On paper they are better... I don't have the answers.
The secondary has been missing pieces all year.
This is the type of DP team that may hit its stride late.

That final score makes no sense at all... lots of parity this year.

In other words, Jones alienated themselves from the rest of Central Florida this past year. I'm still rooting for them, though... they are good.
Evans is having a tough time.
I will take Jones over Bishop Moore 35-21. I regret not doing pick'em this year because I'm somewhere above 90% for the season on the tough games. I've got it all figured out.

Well in 2009 DP came back but eventually lost in OT...
Apopka took a 26-7 first quarter lead... DP tied it and lost 58-52 in 5OT's
I was on a plane during the game. The last update I saw (from the Orlando Sentinel website) was 26-7 in the 1st. That was a depressing plane ride.

But it was a great game. When it went to overtime, I felt for sure Dp. was going to win. Our kicker was not as good as Dp's at the time even though he eventually kicked in college. I felt Dp was going to win either on an extra point or with a field goal. Felt the only chance Apopka had was to go for two after scoring.
One of the most exciting games I ever watched live. DDO treated the Friday Night Football messages board crowd to refreshments at his house before the game. He spoke very highly of you.
