Someone set this up as a weekend event of Bowl games.  Winner gets Gadsden T-shirts that says we could be next.

I heard some winless teams are saying "Why not us?" if Gadsden got in, so maybe we will need to have bowl games where they can play each other.  We could call one the Donut Bowl.  

I would rather see Bartram vs Seminole.  Maybe Oak Ridge 6-4 vs Liberty 8-2

These would be ideal in terms of proximity.

Perhaps you are thinking of Winter Park who faced wekiva in regional finals last year 

The problem is we want it all.  In the dinosaur days, we had large districts.  Nowadays, folks are so into having flexibility, they would consider some of those old districts boring/stifling.  However, that setup of old did a much better job of deciding on the field who the best teams were in each region.  When a district champion met another district champion, those two teams had already proven themselves against 7-9 other teams from their classification.
We get frustrated today because we are relying upon numbers and computers to decide things.  We can't have it all.  And we are making things very complicated trying to satisfy all of our desires.  Personally, I liked the big districts because it was an accomplishment to win a district title.  Even if a team did not win state, they could hoist their district trophy with pride.  How excited can a team get to win a 3-team district, especially if the other two are lousy?  Even some regional titles today are not terribly exciting accomplishments.  With bigger districts, there's a better chance that at least one or two other teams are going to give you a run for the money. 
Scheduling flexibility, having more teams in the playoffs, and working around perceived inequities, ie public vs private, comes at a cost.  We have to accept it or make compromise.  What we are doing is like trying to squeeze one side of a balloon to make it smaller.  The other side inevitably distorts.

We all got together and convinced FHSAA that they could get a kick back from Mosaic if we got in.
If you are familiar with this areas economy and politics, you know what I'm talking about.

I don't recall this ever happening before.  Hardee. Desoto,  Sebring, Avon Park,  Lake Placid,  Fort Meade,  Frostproof,  and Lake Wales are all in the playoffs. 

Chamberlain got screwed.  i think Lehigh is in.

you might have went 0-9 but hopefully you blew this point system up.  I hope the FHSAA does some real research and makes some major changes to the system.  Not just have a meeting and raise points for losses because a few AD's want that and think it will help.  They tried to make sure a BTW didn't happen again last year and now they have egg on their face with Gadsden.  Congrats Gadsden you might not have won on the field but you beat the hell out of the FHSAA.  I think you put a running clock on them.

should they get rid of this?  Miami Central is the 5 seed and will play Carol City in the second round.  Miami Central should be the 2 seed.  Another one has Lee as the 5 seed and will play Columbia in the second round. 
I actually think they are punishing the one seed by making district champs 1-4.   Yes you are rewarding district champs but I'm torn.  Shouldn't the 1 seed have the easiest path?  If the point system is correct that 5 seed could be a ball buster.

Good point.  I don't like this hybrid of district champions and points systems.  Let's do one or the other.  If we are convinced point systems are the best solution for today, why not also use them to determine overall seedings?  And if we are not confident doing that, why the hesitation?
