My guess was based on thinking one loss will come to either Naples or Riverview, but I suppose that may not happen. Flying blind on CAI, but as I've said before my prediction is they will be a beast, beat Venice and have a shot at Lakeland. 

Lakeland wouldn't be able to get much done on offense, save for grinding out some first downs and chewing clock. Maybe Tyler Williams or Money would make a big play or two. But, I think Lakeland's defense, if they shortened the rotation and stuck with their best 11-14 players, could hang in vs. the IMG offense. Overall, IMG is a different animal and regular HS teams shouldn't be compared to them.
Venice needs Kintigh back. Even with him, a 4-win season seems likely. The schedule is just too insane.

No doubt. I knew they lost two Rbs, but then I watched film of the 2024 kid that replaced them. That was when I knew that those guys left because they were soon to become backups. Venice knows now too. IMG would handle Lakeland most likely as well. Would have to be a Bill Castle special with ball control eating the clock etc to have a chance.

I wasn't bragging. It isn't any sort of point of pride. It's just an honest characterization of reality.

you will be back. But, short of recruiting and housing players from all over, your primary disposition vs. IMG will be one of severe safety concerns for your players. It is not safe for you to put that kind of team on the field vs. IMG. Had you played the absolute perfect game tonight, IMG would have had to break more of a sweat to put the running clock on you. 

Now is the perfect opportunity for you to craft your response to me following the invoking of the running clock on you next week. Let me guess, you have no recollection of the 49-13 score I mention

This was always the game I thought of when I hear "Soul Bowl",

From credible sources that was at the game from start to finish, told me that before the game ely was doing a lot of trash talking and stomping on cardinal gibbons logo which gibbons mostly looked past. 
 
fast forward to after the game once ely won, it was reported ely started verbally taunting and gloating by doing backflips and stomping on gibbons logo once again, which a few gibbons players didn’t take well AT ALL! 
 
jawing started, then the brawl from the students, then parents got in the fight and started taking swings & everything was just out of control at that point. 

My understanding is that both coaches agreed to play varsity all 4 quarters with no special requirements.  Each will decide what they want to achieve with this game as a springboard into the regular season.  Should be a hard nosed, physical matchup as that is both teams DNA.  As I have told you before, last year's weakness (OL) is expected to be a strength and due to depth I expect to see them utilizing different bodies up front to make those personnel decisions.  Hopefully both teams will emerge healthy for an extremely difficult schedule going forward. 

Damn that was a brawl!  One of those kids looked like he had to get tackled by his own teammates to settle him down?  These days I always get concerned about "pew pew pew!" coming during a sports brawl like this.  Too many people willing to shoot into a crowd just because of "disrespect" or whatever.   Retards.

This was not a kick off classic.  It was a referee scrimmage.  Kick off classics can't start until August 17
 
 

My guess regarding attendance and those mocking it, this will probably be one of the highest attended KOC's in the entire state when it is all said and done.  

Some KOC's are as you pointed out, a chance to let kids prove themselves and experiment with new personnel, defenses, offenses, etc...  some play 1 qtr. or a half with the JV or non-starters.  That is usually an agreement between coaches prior to the game.  This one we are discussing is definitely not that, they are each wanting the bragging rights. 

Having not seen a single down played by either team, I'm not going to make any predictions on how a game will go. If I did make that sort of prediction, I would have to be picturing other teams from other years. And then I'd be destined to get it wrong.
