While guessing scores can be fun, it is damn near impossible to do accurately...unless you have a private helicopter to go check out every team with your own eyes.  Comparing scores between teams A, B, C etc. doesn't work either.  It is all about match ups, which is almost impossible to know until the teams kick the ball off.  So, what happens will happen.  I have noticed one trend over the last several years which leads me to the conclusion of having zero confidence in any 8A school along the I-4 corridor unless they are named Apopka or Dr. Phillips.  Those two have been consistent.  The rest have not been, other than some spotty success of going more than a game or two deep here and there.  There have been many early flameouts of teams people thought would make a deep run.  None of the teams this year are dominant and they can all be had..and that goes for the entire class.  It would not shock me one bit to see two 3 or lower seeds make it to Daytona.
Weather will be an issue as well this Friday, especially up here where one of the games is taking place.  Nor'easter conditions with gusty 20 to 30 mph winds and rain is the current forecast.  Seems to be more of a rain event further south.  Have to factor that in too.  The last time I checked no one plays in a dome.  Just my .02 cents.
 

If Dillard keeps winning it does not matter. Sometimes it is better to be underrated rather than hyped.

I was thinking about Naples being put up but I think their playoffs are gonna b short lived simply because of their playoff bracket 

Its all academic as DB2 said... I seriously doubt any 8 seeds are winning a state title anyway.

Tough defensive battle yesterday night. Gaither held Armwood to 3 first downs in the 1st half. The only first half score came off a strip ball by the Armwood defense (late in the 2nd quarter). Score at half time was 7 - 0 Armwood. Armwood next score came late 3rd quarter. The Gaither defense stood strong, but in the end Armwood came out on top. It was a great Test for Gaither, Gaither boys demeanor was good, they are ready for the playoffs. First time in school history, Gaither ended the season 9-1, not bad. 

Mia Northwestern was 5-5 going into the playoffs last year and then rattled off five straight wins to claim the state title. I doubt any team would rather go undefeated in the regular season rather then win the ultimate prize.

State titles without a moment's hesitation

In 1996, playing for Frostproof High, Travis Henry rushed for 4087 yards and 34 TD's , averaging 11.3 yards per carry.  In the 3A state title game in Daytona Beach, Henry rushed for a state title game record 328 yards.  That effort enabled him to break a 43 year-old national record for the most rushing yards in a season.  Unfortunately, it was not enough, and Frostproof lost the title game to two-time defending state champion Union County.   
That season, he shattered the state single-season rushing record of 2,969 yards set by University Christian's Willie McClendon in 1987.  He rushed for 14 straight 200-yard games and finished with 19 in all.  Henry finished his hs career with 7,221 rushing yards and 79 touchdowns.  
Henry played 4 years at Tennessee, rushing for 3,078 yards. He made the All-SEC team in 2000, his senior year.  He was drafted by the Buffalo Bills, where he became one of the Bills' all-time leading rushers.  Henry played for 7 seasons in the NFL, where he rushed for about 6,000 career yards.
Playing for Tennessee in a game that featured one of the most improbable endings in NCAA history, Travis Henry(#20) took over at the end of the game and scored the winning touchdown.  The fun starts at about 4:00, when everyone thought the game was over.  The article below discusses the game.

Eye popping terrible loss to an inferior team? C'mon man! That lose was a 2OT road game at the #5 team in the state of Georgia. That's just a nonsense comment.

By your estimation, how many "good" teams are there in the state?

Hillsborough schools don't pick their schedule. We are currently the highest scoring team in the state of Florida and have had a half time running clock on 8 of our 9 opponents (averaging 43 first half points). Our defense is giving up 5.7 points per game, a good portion of that was on our 2's.
813 said previously our schedule was easy and we would get run over by Plant and Hillsborough. We didn't
As to how we will stack up against Sarasota and Dr. Phillips we will see if we get there...Both are great programs and we would love to get the shot to prove ourselves. Our last experience with each of them:
We went to Dr. Phillips in 2015 for our first playoff game and we had a halftime lead on them and were tied in the 4th before losing by 12, they lost in the 3rd round by 1 to state runner up Osceola. 
Sarasota beat us last year 14-7. We fumbled out of the end zone with 30 seconds left which would have tied the game... they went on to the final 4
We play who is on our schedule. Our team is bought in and playing great football. No clue how we will match up against whoever the playoffs bring us but we will be ready to go and excited for the battle. 
I do disagree with 813. a 12-1 team is a good team. Majority of playoff teams are good teams. Elite and good are different. 
Thanks for the respect perspective. You all may have a shot to sneak in for a Sarasota matchup. It is gonna be tight

He does that on purpose. He knows North Gwinnett is a very good football team. 

And I don't think this is a test to show how far Gaither can go in 6A. Armwood is a cut above almost every single team in 6A. Especially with Central getting their ass stomped last night by little Chaminade. I wouldn't expect Gaither to win this game, but it should not be indicative on how far they can go in 6A.

Wow what a bounce back performance by the lions at home ..I honestly didn’t see this one coming rockets fall to (7-3).
