Chaminade Madonna: The lions will come into this game with a great win over a very strong nationally ranked St. John’s team. The game wasn’t nearly as close as the final score. The lions are huge in the trenches with speed all over the field with their skill players.
Dillard - The Panthers are coming in fresh off a (35-0) blowout over Maryland #5 ranked best team rock creek Christian academy. 
 
with *5 star jackson at corner, 4* Johnson at the rb spot, 4* Blount on defense & host of other 3 & 4* players on defense for both Dillard and chaminade this has the making of being a must see game. 
 
SHOW US: with Dillard being a very very good public school ; As of Right Now they lack national notoriety. While Dillard has shown they can go toe to toe with some of the nations best, they have YET to get that signature win that would put them on a national scale. They have the opportunity to change that this week though. & With games @ MIAMI central week 4 & Home Vs STA AQUINAS Week 7 the panthers have arguably one of the toughest non district schedules in the country. 
 
KEYS TO VICTORY for chaminade: If the lions can penetrate dillard revamped O-Line & limit & production from Johnson. The lions will have a huge chance to win this game going away, while dillard does have a very elite diff the panthers will still need balance offensive production to win this on the road. 
 
KEYS TO VICTORY FOR DILLARD: the panthers have to limit the penalties & capitalize off a forced turnover or 2 without turning the ball over themselves. Special teams have to be solid & it wouldn’t hurt to also start fast to build & keep momentum. Do those things & you’re looking at the panthers making their debut in the national ranks come Monday morning.

IMG had something like 20+ 4 or 5 star players on its team last year.   I have no idea about their roster this year but I assumed the same.  However, watching highlights of that game, something looked off with IMG.  Gotta give Central credit because they could be one of the strongest Central teams in recent history (and thats saying something) but IMG just didnt seem to have that explosiveness.  I see comments they lost their QB before the game so that was one weakness I saw and now it makes sense.

Should have seen the writing on the wall. 4 point game against Suwannee spells HEAP BIG TROUBLE!!!!
Columbia is lucky they have such an easy schedule. Still will only win 4 games

1) I think that's because the umstead was the starter through the spring and much of the summer and I think the staff is willing to use him if they think it would provide a spark but the issue last night was the OL
 
2) I think that Columbia would have been more aggressive in the early going with setting up a passing game if the field conditions were better but overall based on what I saw with Buchholz they looked to have a strong DL and it likely doesn't change much 
 
3) I think Buchholz is similar to what they were last year when I saw them against Cardinal Gibbons, they are probably a top 25 team in Florida. Columbia has potential to be a top 25-50 team but they have a long ways to go to get there, they were missing a 3* WR and a starting OL still so maybe when they get back it will spark the offense but the biggest thing is Jefferson is a solid QB who can make plays but when you don't even have 2 seconds to make a throw you aren't gonna have a chance to make plays
The Columbia OL needs to play better than that if they want to beat the good teams on their schedule

Gainesville Buchholz's defense overwhelmed Columbia's generic and unimaginative offense all night long. ColumboFan pointed out the poor field condition as a contributing factor. Both teams looked to have multiple D-1's  on defense. Also both being in the Suburban football brackets (Buchholz 4, LC 3) greatly increases their odds of being a future player in a run to a championship. (IMO) Metro 3 & 4 has more strength and competition.

Drops (2 TDs) and Penalties (another 15 yarder) over 200 yards

Over 300 penalty yards (from the coach). Offense only ran the ball 3 times and we have a 3 star, RB, that only had 1 carry. The team played like it was preseason 

Tough lost Brodie. It’s 1 game tho so y’all have the opp to bounce back. It’s how you finish not how you start. 

Honestly, I think they needed this L. They got to cocky over the summer and this 1, hopefully, will humble them

Thoughts:
 
Overall it was a very good setup and the stadium atmosphere made the game a blast to attend 
 
DFB is as bad as advertised and will struggle to win games this year and has no business playing OOS in the foreseeable future
 
Colquitt and Lowndes are not as good as their past teams that won titles in GA but both could be better next year 
 
This may be the year Valdosta gets by Lowndes in the winnersville classic 
 
AHP is down from some past teams but was by far the best team at the event and we should see where they stand next week as well as games with Cardinal Gibbons and Chaminade but I felt they were a class act as a team and program and I had a chance to talk to few of their staff during the game and one of the lowndes staff during the lightning delay 
 
I will never again hate on the refs in Florida because even the most flag happy crews on Florida is nothing compared to the flaggrent calls where it felt like holding was getting called like 8 or 9 straight plays on offense for AHP which likely kept it from being more of a blowout
 
Overall the crowd support during the lowndes game with the Lowndes fans and band is better than any crowd I've ever seen in Florida and their crowd was louder on one yard gains than Columbia was the entire kickoff classic against Suwannee even with fans wrapped around the fences. Florida could learn something from the south GA fanbases
 
 
Overall a great event and I was honored to be on the sideline watching those 4 programs play football last night even though I didn't get home until 2am
