Vero only 5 home games??? Usually at least 7.... The Vero crowds helped the general athletic funds.... PS anymore news on NIL at HS level here in Florida?

I didn't find out till near the end of the first quarter, that I had the damn Bally sports thing in my cable package! Fiddy thousand channels and not a damn thing worth watching! On to the game....After watching on my computer and the NFHS network, Lakeland and Bucholtzzzz and Venice and DeeeLand, I figgered Venice would win, and win biggly! I was wrong, as the land of Publix, put on a running attack show! Congrats to Lakeland. My second observation: Vero Beach will never be in the same league!! On to the new classification and District BS the FHSAA is bringing in 2024... Merry Christmas all!!

I'm a believer in Venice, after watching them last night! I know Vero beat them last time they played at Venice, and the game at Vero was canceled due to weather, but them fellers can play!! Adds to my comment as Vero will always have a good team with Coach J, just not a great team to compete at the State level.

I gonna get in the mix a tad...... Coach J is a good football coach! But he is not a GREAT football coach and I think that is what is needed to win state championships!! Same with TC coach.... Longtime legend coach at Vero, Billy Livings once said... "you can't coach to get to the playoffs, you coach to get THROUGH the playoffs!!" He did win state championships in Alabama and Vero.

I thought that DeLand was a good matchup against TC.... I felt DeLand was a stronger team, on film, than TC. I felt a 35-7 DeLand was a good possibility. I am looking forward to watching them play Venice as Venice has a great production squad for TV, they do a really nice job on the NFHS network...... Will check out Lakeland/ Bucholtz also.

Same officiating crew as last time...... For some reason, as per TCPalm, no crew from out of area to officiate the game. This crew would never call a pass interference or a block in the back to save their skins,,,,,

PSL is made up of mostly transplanted North East folk, most of whom moved there in the last 15 years and are without school aged kids.......Even Veros attendance is down from 5-7000 per game to 3500.....Theys just dying off I recon!

The reason Vero and TC are not listed, is because the area is considered East Central Florida.....

I watched the game on FLHS network..... Cocoa got had! ...... Correct on unsportsmanlike penalty 15 yards and 1st down.... Clock would not move...plus a extra timeout?? Yep..... It happened. I had no skin in the game, just wanted to see a good game as I did not travel to PSL for Titan/Seminole game due to weather. Thought Titan game would be broadcast....

Was going to head down for the Titan/Seminole game, but looks like weather will be closing in....
