Stephenville's QB Jarrett Stidham recruiting offers

Stephenville's Jarrett Stidham is a 4 star QB recruit for some of the top colleges in the country. He played against FL Dillard in the 3rd week of the season and lead his team to a win over the Panthers. He's starting to really settle in as a first year starter and is just a junior. Just wanted to share. Never know but would be cool for some of the players who played against him to say, I  played against that guy in high school. And could be coming to a university in Florida near you. Here's the list of schools that have already offered and the ones that are showing strong interest. Crazy!

Jarrett Stidham rated #1 dual threat QB for the 2015 class by ESPN. Fort Lauderdale Dillard got a chance to play against him in Texas. He just picked up his 12th D1 offer this week from Ohio State.

Do we have a highlight tape?

 

Alot of times these stars and "number one dual-threat QB on ESPN" turn out to mean nothing. I know by my own experience that QB is probably the toughest position to evaluate. There are so many factors that contribute to their success such as do they have good enough lineman, do they have receivers that can get open, does their coach call the right plays, do they play in a system that allows them to succeed?

 

That said the best QB I have ever seen in high school was 2 time Sun-Belt Conference player of the year Ryan Aplin. I would take Ryan Aplin 1,000,000 times in a football game before I took our QB this year. And our QB this year is going to The University of South Carolina.

 

Aplin had just one offer coming out of high school. He should have had alot more, but alot of his talent was immeasurable.

No high lights of just him yet. He's just in his JR year and his first year at starting QB. He

sacrificed his soph year to play receiver. I'll post some high lights of the team this from a few games this season.

 

He has a good athletic frame at 6'3" and 190 lbs., intelligent, makes good decisions, ability to extend plays and can run the ball in addition to his passing ability. Aside from those attributes, he's a gamer. Great bball player and athlete overall.

Here are a few team highlight videos that have some footage of Jarrett Stidham #1. What makes him a good recruit is his tremendous upside. His vision of the field and ability to make plays just adds to his physical athletism. He still has a lot of football to play and learn of course. But he's really impressed a lot of recruiters at camps and play during this season. Good kid too.

He can really throw on the run!

 

He hasn't really had to from what I can see though, because the Offensive line really protects him very well.

 

Not the fastest guy on the field but pretty mobile.

Here is a link to our kids highlight tape. Led team to a 10-0 record. District Champ. And ousted in the first round of the playoffs unfortunately.  He played well enough to win the game, but our defense couldn't stop the other team from scoring. First time since 2009 our defense has played poorly in a game.

Great looking QB! Pretty similar style of QB as Stidham and the teams run similar offensive plays. Impressive! Where has he gotten offers from so far?
