All four Marion County playoff teams won last night.

6A Vanguard over Sebring 35-7

6A Lake Weir over Mitchell 30-21

5A North Marion over Menendez 27-22

4A Dunnellon over South Sumter 41-13

I was at the Vanguard game and it was an excellent team against a very good team. This is the first time this season that I have been to a Vanguard game. They are definitely the real deal and will be difficult for any other playoff team to defeat. Too many good players and good coaching. Sebring is a very disciplined team with some exceptional players but were just overcome by too many horses.

Like I stated before, Lake Weir is not the doormat it once was. Came back from a two TD deficit in the 4th quarter to get by Mitchell on their field. We will see what they are made of next Friday when they go up against Armwood. Difficult task indeed. But, one never knows.  :unsure:
