7A Region 2 - Will Armwood & Lakeland Finally Meet?

Even though these schools are a short drive from each other, Armwood and Lakeland have never met in the playoffs.  That is likely to change this season, and both will be heavy favorites to reach the region final.   If they do, expect a wild game with an overflowing stadium, regardless of where the game is played.

4 playoff teams from this region return (Lakeland, Kathleen, Harmony and Wiregrass Ranch).  Some talented teams join the region, including up-and-comers Bloomingdale, Plant City and Liberty.  Viera will look to play the spoiler, and could face Lakeland or Armwood in a region semi if they can win District 5.  The region features 9 playoff teams from last season(those with a double asterisk).  Records from last season are below.
