Who Is This FL HS Legend? Lamont Green/Miami Southridge

One of the most hyped hs defensive players ever to come out of south FL...and considered by many to be one of the biggest disappointments.  Despite reasonable success at FSU, he was never drafted. 

Who is he and where did he play in high school?

Lamont Green. Southridge Senior High. He was the USA Today defensive player of the year in 1994. He won two state titles in high school, but that was more because of the offense that had the Davis brothers and Sedrick Irvin (three D-1 running backs).

He was the number 1 overall recruit in the nation, but never lived up to the hype. Played for the Falcons in the NFL.
