It is Sedrick Irvin, who is kin to Michael Irvin.  Irvin played at Southridge and Miami High, where he earned USA Today All-American honors in 1995. He played college football at Michigan State, where he had 1,000 yard rushing seasons in each of his 3 seasons there. Irvin left MSU after his junior season (for the NFL draft) with the fourth most rushing yards in school history.

Irvin fell to the fourth round in the 1999 NFL Draft due to his "lack of speed."  He proved critics wrong when he led the Detroit Lions in touchdowns his rookie year. After two years in which he was beset by injuries, the Lions let Irvin go. He signed with the Miami Dolphins in hopes of returning to the NFL, but never saw game time.

He is currently coach at Southridge.  He has coached at a number of schools, including the University of Alabama.
