Back in November 1964, The Wildwood Wildcats were 9-0 and looking to be shut out the playoffs due to the fact they were sitting behind 9-0-1 Lake Wales because Lake Wales played one more class A team than Wildwood so had more points to qualify for the playoffs. 
 
Wildwood was slated to play class B Lake Weir in which they could have beaten by 100, and still would have been left out of the playoffs. 
 
So a week before the Lake Weir game, Wildwood knew this so they dropped Lake Weir and replaced them with class A Eustis. Wildwood won the game against Eustis 27-13 and it vaulted them past Lake Wales into the playoffs
They beat Chaminade 28-12 then eked out a win against Columbia 12-7 in the state championship game to finish 12-0.
Lake Wales lost to Winter Haven in the Polk County Bowl. Lol. 
 
So you would have to think Columbia would have beaten Lake Wales or Chaminade if Wildwood didn’t get to choose their opponent on the last week of the season to gain eligibility. LMAO!!

Yup, one of the downsides of scorestream is anyone can input scores and there were a few bad eggs tonight feeding bad scores. Usually they are not as wrong as this one was.

Update: Menendez - Tocoi will not be allowed to play Tuesday for a regular season contest, per FHSAA. Yet to hear what game plan is for the Week 11 contest.

Menendez - Tocoi trying to play Tuesday instead. FHSAA rules say games must be played by end of day Saturday so stay tuned

A teen has been arrested for making a threat at Miramar HS. 
Stranahan High and William Dandy Middle School were also threatened over the weekend. 
The investigations continue and additional arrests appear to be forthcoming.

3A Region 4 with Chaminade, Newman, King's ... mostly small privates and a charter or two

Not sure about the state,nationally or overall , but in panther history it’s a first , this is the first Dillard team EVER! to post 6 shutouts in 7 games 
but they are the FIRST panther team to score 60+ points in 3 consecutive games. 
 
they’re the FIRST panther team to hold 4 or more opponents to NEGATIVE yards & they are ALSO the first Panther team to post 4 CONSECUTIVE shutouts.
obviously it’s still a LONG season, we got a HUGE game next week , that may are calling GAME OF THE YEAR & that it should be televised ; but for RIGHT NOW in this MOMENT I just want to congratulate my panthers on something that’s NOT easy to do regardless of who you’re playing and to do it consecutive like they’re doing is AMAZING!
