I read somewhere that Miami Central might be playing Raines 1st game of the season at Raines. If this is true boy oh boy Raines is in some trouble. If Raines thought Northwestern was something they haven't seen nothing yet when it comes to Central. I could be wrong but had Central not gotten disqualified from the playoffs I think they would have beaten Northwestern and went to states and won.
I hope this game doesn't happen. Besides a schedule filler, it does nothing for either team. And to think they could potentially meet in state. Who really wants to see that twice in one season.

Here’s an example that might help MY HUDDLE brothers understand “our game” (Broward county) , that we’ve waited for a long time, being played outta county: Next year we’ll host the Miami Central vs NW game at Lockhart Stadium in Broward County! Ya wanna hear some NOISE! Lol
I’m thinking the main concern is fan capacity. STA used to bring in portable bleachers in the playoffs. Chaminade coulda done the same thing. Switch the game to Aquinas! You think the same amount of Lion fans wouldn’t make the 20 minute drive? Plus it would be in central Broward county. There might b a more diabolical reason: It’s been put out there that the state championships for 1a-7a are going to be at FIU stadium. Is this a trial run?
Regardless, it’s still wrong for the fans of Broward County & that seems to be the last thought in this decision……DRV Pink Stadium would be perfect! In Broward and Inter Miami isn't playing.

As little since as this location makes , it’s true I found out about this a few weeks ago. Funny how they made it happen for FiU to host.
but yet they couldn’t make anything happen with DRV pink (old Lockhart stadium).
a long awaited matchup between two broward powerhouses & it’s played in dade, Smh.
I totally agree with you on this! Makes no sense at all! None!!!

for hurricane Helene to come not hit south Florida last week she sure threw a lot of things off, but here we are already in week 7 and another week with a full slate of great games.
West Boca (5-0) @ Western (0-4) - on maxpreps it says western is (1-4) but that game vs taravella was never played so the wildcats are currently winless.
but they have played two national powerhouses very closely at home this year in STA, & CMD , holding both teams below their scoring averages on offense. But in return their offense was also held in check scoring less then 20 points in both of those matchups.
west boca comes in with really 1 big win on their schedule which is PBC but they’ve been building that program up the last few years & that defense is legit.
Will west boca remain undefeated and push the wildcats who came into this year with so much promise to (0-5) or will the wildcats notch their first win and their biggest win of the season?
PREDICTION: WEST BOCA 21 WESTERN 7
PLANTATION (5-1) @ BLANCHE ELY (4-2) - the colonels took their first “L” is a blowout loss to American heritage , while ely flexed their muscles on a terrible terrible Deerfield team.
this game is a big game for both teams, and a game I will be in attendance for, for plantation, can you get back on track here? , after such a great start to the season.
if you’re ely , you most definitely need this win, your last big game at home , you were running clocked. & then the very next week you lost to a team who came in ranked #456 in the entire state of Florida.
so right now if you’re the tigers you’re looking a little bit overrated & exposed, you shut up a little bit of the noise with a big win here. Lose this 1 & especially on homecoming night, the tiger faithful may no longer be as hopeful as they were after the chaminade victory.
PREDICTION: PLANTATION 28 BLANCHE ELY 13
CHAMINADE (4-2) @ MONARCH (4-1) - the projectory of this game is gonna depend on how well can the knights defense defend the lions potent offense attack.
if they can get great containment, this could be a 4 quarter battle. But if they can’t I see the lions pulling away in the 2nd quarter going into the half.
the knights cannot get into a shootout with this lions team, they will lose every time. Defense is gonna be the key to a possible upset here for the knights.
PREDICTION: CHAMINADE 42 MONARCH 21
MIAMI NORTHWESTERN ( 2-2) Vs MiAMI CENTRAL (4-1) - this is gonna be a game for the ages, and my VERY FIRST MNW VS MC game I’m actually gonna attend. Even tho @topnotch305 exiled me from sitting on MNW side because of me predicting the rockets will win LMAO.
but all jokes aside this game can go either way & will most def come down to the 4th quarter. I’m highkey turnt up to be in the stands for this 1. A lot of bragging rights on the table with this 1.
do the bulls fall to (2-3) with so much hype around the program after the teddy Bridgewater signing or do the roc boys take their 2nd L of the season.
PREDICTION: ughhhhhh LMAO, shiid ima say
MIAMI CENTRAL 28 MIAMI NORTHWESTERN 21

Atlantic solid ? Yessir , piper ? , they came into that matchup ranked #456 in Florida. Ely was suppose to be by far their toughest matchup up until that point. Every other team b4 Ely was terrible.
honestly rivalry aside I think Ely was crowned & put in the stardom rankings way way to quick. Ignoring the facts that chaminade best player & most important player was knocked out of the game on their second possession. & a quarter back with no practice, no preparation was thrown into the fire, which altered chamiandes entire game plan that night.
with a week of preparation with that said qb we the see the difference & chaminade hasn’t lost since.
so honestly I think what we’ve seen from ely the last 2 weeks is a greater indication of who they really are, vs the anomaly vs chaminade.
All good points.

Other than that, what’s your thoughts on the 15, I think for the most part it’s pretty spot on.
Solid list. I know Chaminade is hot right now. Hard to see them at #1 with two losses. And with Ely now losing two straight, although to good teams it doesn't make the win against Nade look as good. Just my opinion.

If you ask me , the first 5 weeks of this season has been one of the most unpredictable 5 weeks in south Florida history. With that said, it’s been some movement in my top 15.
We had some departures & some new additions to the Top 15. So let’s get to it.
#1. CHAMINADE MADONNA (3-2) - At this point can their offense be slowed down ? Let alone stopped. Cuz whewwww lol.
#2. ST THOMAS AQUINAS (4-1) - the raiders won’t get their next test until they face Chaminade Madonna in a few weeks.
#3. MIAMI CENTRAL (4-1) - the Rockets fell behind by double digits against heritage , but prevailed late to notch their first signature win of the season.
#4. AMERICAN HERITAGE (2-3). The patriots couldn’t finish the deal against power house Miami central & fell to 2-3 because of it. The Patriots are still top 5 in south Florida in my opinion, but they will need to learn how to win the big games if they want to make it far in the playoffs.
with undefeated plantation coming up, Miami norland & st Thomas Aquinas coming up in the next few weeks, the patriots will have plenty of chances to take that step to the next level.
#5. MIAMI NORTHWESTERN (2-2) - the northwestern vs Columbus game was postponed Thursday. A new date had yet to be given.
#6. MIAMI NORLAND (2-2) the Miami norland was ran out of the stadium for the second time this year last Thursday night.
this was the second consecutive week the Vikings offense was held to just 6 points offensively. If norland wants to right the wrong of last years title game upset, they’re gonna have to make some serious adjustments, or it’s going to be another disappointing season.
#7. PLANTATION (5-0) - The Colonels continue to put a lot of people on notice. Their defense is big time & will keep them in every game this year.
#8. DILLARD (4-1) - Defensive Slugfest Against Miramar last week, the patriots were 60% to 40% favorites , but the panthers got it done for their 6th consecutive win over Miramar , breaking the Florida record. Dillard came in last Fridays contest tied with St Thomas Aquinas for the most consecutive wins against Miramar which was 5.
the panthers hit the road to west palm beach for their first Thursday game this year, & will look to make it 5 consecutive victories on this season.
#9. COLUMBUS (2-2) - the explorers had their game vs MNW postponed.
#10. WEST BROWARD (3-2) - the bobcats were idle this week.
#11. CARDINAL GIBBONS (3-2) , the chiefs gave the cougars of coconut creek another lost fresh of their bye week. The cougars received a lot of transfers during the off season, but their season so far has started in the worst possible way at (0-3). Still time to right the ship though.
#12. PIPER (5-0) Give it up for the piper bengals ladies & gentleman!! The piper bengals has made it to the top 15 for the first time this year. They gave the Blanche ely tigers their second consecutive loss, while they push their undefeated record to (5-0)
#13. HOMESTEAD (2-2) - iDLE
#14. MONARCH (3-2) - the knights got back on track against Fort Lauderdale last week to improve to (5-2).
#15.MIAMI SOUTHRIDGE (4-1) - give it up to the Miami southridge Spartans for making it to the TOP 15, outside of a 17-14 lost to Columbus to start the season, the Spartans have been handling business.
NEW ADDITIONS: Cardinal Gibbons, Piper , Miami southridge
DROPOUTS - Blanche ely, Miramar, Booker T Washington
Norland's record is 3-1. Loss to Armwood was KOC game. Doesn't count on their season record.

Man oh man it’s already week 5 and so far every week has had great matchups, added with some shocking results.
as you all know @Jullian @nolebull813 @Perspective @FBGUY1989 @561_Fan the list is fluid & it changes weekly, depending on what happens on the field. But going into week 5 this would be my top 15 list.
#1. MiAMI NORLAND (3-0) , since their blowout lost against armwood , the Vikings are undefeated & as of right now looking like the team to beat in 4A, & they can solidify that with a win vs Chaminade this week.
#2. MIAMI CENTRAL (3-1) since the rockets lost against Lakeland a few week ago , they have been running teams out of the stadium.
#3. MiAMI NORTHWESTERN (2-2)
#4. ST THOMAS AQUINAS (3-1) The raiders flirted with disaster last week escaping 0-3 western on the road last week by a score of 22-15
#5. CHAMINADE MADONNA - (2-2) With the starting qb being out for a few weeks, and with the third string actually having time to prepare, the lions have gotten back to that well oiled machine they were before the starting qb injury.
#6. AMERICAN HERITAGE - (2-2) Solid win on the road last week vs a very good Naples team whose very good at home & was held to 3 points.
#7. PLANTATION (4-0) the colonels are very good this year. This team came in this year with little to no recognition, a new coaching staff & a lot of motivation. Their defense is very stout, & their offense is also solid.
#8. DILLARD (3-1) , after a 27-21 lost to #7 (4-0) plantation in week 1, the panthers have been on a rampage going 3-0 since then posting 2 shutouts & outscoring their opponents (147-6).
#9. COLUMBUS (2-2) - the explorers had a solid win last week against their rival palmetto, but they have a short week this week & will play the Miami northwestern bulls on Thursday night.
#10. BLANCHE ELY (3-1) , rivalry aside, I had a chance to see the tigers up close and personal Friday, since Dillard game was on Saturday & the tigers are very thin on the OL & DL , & they just looked overmatched on Friday night.
them beating chaminade was a complete aberration, heavily because the lions lost the head of their offense on the second possession of the game & had to change their entire game plan on the fly. We see how they look now when the 3rd string has a full week to prepare.
on top of that the week after the tigers gave up 20 points to a stranahan team Dillard shut out (44-0) just the week prior.
only for the very next week the tigers found themselves trailing 21-0 in the first qt vs a Atlantic team was ranked under ely in every category. Only for the lead to ballon to 35-7 at halftime. & then pushed to 42-7 30 seconds into the third Qt starting the running clock. Which is why the tigers dropped a couple spots this week.
#11. WEST BROWARD (2-2) the bobcats are putting a lot of folks on notice this year, not sure if they got a new coaching staff or what, but a program that’s never known for football dominance have been putting on an offensive clinic this year , most recently in their upset win over heavily favored gibbons last week Friday, beating the chiefs 43-39
#12. HOMESTEAD (2-2)
#13. Monarch (2-2) - the knights took it on the chin last week vs Seminole , they should bounce back this week vs a inferior opponent.#14. BOOKER T WASHINGTON - (2-2) a very underwhelming win for the tornadoes last week. I expected a more dominant win.
#15. MIRAMAR (2-2) the patriots again have a very good defense, they play Dillard this week. Should be a very good close game.
HONORABLE MENTIONS: Piper (4-0) , Western (0-3), Palmetto (1-2), South dade (1-2), Coconut creek (0-2),
Good list. MNW is too high in my opinion. They've played two teams with a pulse and lost both(Venice and Norland). Their QB is very suspect, especially when it matters the most. I watched them in both their loses. They have a tough time stopping the run as well. They have Teddy, but Teddy can't get out there and play either.

Blanche Ely @ American heritage- being that we can very well end up playing both of these schools this year , Ely (soul bowl) & American heritage possibly in playoffs. I’m going to most def be looking at the score of this game to see what both schools are looking like going into the season.
Miramar @ Edison - another matchup with a team we play this season (Miramar) so this is another game I’m going to keep my eye on, both teams are gonna b looking to make a statement and start the season off right.
Cardinal Newman @ homestead - this is actually a 10am Saturday game at traz. Not sure what Cardinal Newman brings back but they have been a force in WPB the last two years, this should be a very good game.
Armwood @ Miami norland - this game should’ve been the night cap , the hawks are fielding arguably their best squad in school history this year, norland who went undefeated all the way to the title game last year & lost has to be coming into this season with their hair on fire looking to avenge such a heart breaking season last year.
western vs Plantation - this is another opponent Dillard will face this year (plantation) in week 2. Without Steve Davis who stepped down again last year I’m interested in seeing how plantation does this year. Western they’ve been top 5 in broward county in transfers the last few years but haven’t been able to get over the hump, can they do it this year ? We’re gonna find out.
Coconut creek vs monarch - a coconut creek showdown this is a one city rivalry game and you can be sure to have a lot of trash talk and some blood shed in this game. Both teams are gonna win this 1 bad for inner city bragging rights & to get their season off to a great start with both teams having a tough schedule ahead.
We will see about Armwood. That 2011 team that went undefeated winning state(beating my MC team) on the field, finishing #2 in the nation before the forfeits will be HARD to top.

Don't like the double elimination and byes and only 8 teams. As I previously stated, I think that 16 teams would be my vote with 4 rounds, lose and you are done. There are about a dozen teams each year that have the ability to compete with the top elite so 16 would cover the margin of error you properly point out for the 9th, 10th, etc... ranked team being left out. I don't believe we have 32 teams in our state that would all be competitive at this level. Just my take but it would certainly crown the best team in the state each year. My gut tells me the very top elite teams won't like this open division as they prefer to just kick the little guys ass. Hope they prove me wrong.
A 16 or even 20 team(top 4 seeds get bye) single elimination bracket would be great! Any of those is better than what is about to come...

isnt, doesnt, that happen all the time in the playoffs? 1 loss team vs no loss team, 1 loss team wins in a dramatic comeback win with 7 seconds left and there isnt any chance at payback.....
All I'm saying is have a way for the no loss team to get redemption or just make it single elimination across the board.

The fact that a team with no losses can be eliminated by a team with one loss and no chance to get their payback....IS JUST STUPID!!!
