Those fans of MORAL AUTHORITY, that said since the people of Pahokee are used to crime, that's why they cheated...or called the players trash and classless, because one of their players got injured during the game...It's funny to hear that they may use some blurry/shady tactics at their home field, because Pahokee has no history of such things/
...Call it what you want, but the fans (FANATICS) of the Baker program called the Pahokee fans, players, community everything but nigg@R...NOT ALL, BUT A LOT..Even the local HS sports writer printed a slanted story in their paper.

What when Pahokee got busted for cheating and had to forfeit?  For the most part fans short for fanatics are stupid.  Also Baker is very country and Pahokee is not.  Baker is still stuck in the 1980's.  It is better but still a long way to go

I have to agree with 561_Fan.... Pahokee played at least 4 teams this year that were bigger and faster than Hawthorne. And they should have beat them all. That's why I asked the game film preparation question earlier...It's almost like Pahokee doesn't prepare for teams. They just show up and play. 

I agree Captain Morgan.  I don’t think Madison is a true 1A school. Rural? Yes..
But definitely not 1A. 

Hawthorne is a well coached, very athletic team. They had a game plan and stuck to it.
Pahokee had a team full of athletes with no game plan and no identity. Kudos to both teams.
That Madison/Hawthorne matchup will be pretty interesting.

Shaun Shivers, who graduated from Chaminade last year, broke loose on a 75-yard the first time he touched the ball.  Unfortunately, it got called back on a contentious holding penalty.  To see this little guy knife through the gargantuan Alabama defense was amazing.  He left them in the dust.  I wish I could find a video of it.  Shivers got 10 carries in the game
Anthony Schwartz of American Heritage showed his speed on a TD score.  These two are going to be very exciting to watch in the next few years.   

I was surprised with the size difference in the trenches, that Pahokee wasn't able to manhandled Hawthorne. #13 from Hawthorne applied pressure all night. Pahokee QB seemed uncomfortable most of the game, and Hawthorne oline only gave up 1 or 2 sacks. Pahokee was best team they have faced this year. Was it clear Pahokee hadn't faced a team like Hawthorne? Think they had a real problem with the team speed that Hawthorne has.  

That's the identity defensively and it's been successful (winning and sending CBs to college). That's also why they rotate alot of DBs throughout the game. #5 and #1 are the only ones who didn't come out. They struggle against teams that run rub/screens routes.
Offensively, this has been the problem the entire season. After the 2017 1A POY (J. Washington) tore his acl the first game, they called plays like he was still there and like they had a veteran o-line. #9 rushed for over a thousand yards last year, but he wasn't the same this season. They refused to play out of the spread and put more athletes on the field, they have about 8 WRs that they refused to play. 
Also, playing without a head coach to lead the team doesn't help either. If they get the right staff in place next season, it wouldn't surprise me if they win state next year. Even though they will graduate 22 seniors, there are some super talented underclassmen.

Totally agree with you on Pahokee offense. I expected to see more with the caliber of athletes they have. Also with a Qb with a nice arm.
Hawthorne made mistakes they dont normally make. Haven't seen them fumble but maybe 2 times all year, and lost 2 fumbles to pahokee. Qb has 3 ints on season and threw 2 against pahokee.  Part good coverage,  part bad throws, not to take nothing away from pahokee. Score could have gotten ugly, like running clock ugly, if Hawthorne took better care of ball. Also, Pahokee had their chances getting into the red zone 3-4 with no points, which the game could have went the other way if they capitalized. 
Haven't seen a team play man coverage for a full game like that.  Cant just rely on your great athletes, especially verse other great athletes. Gotta show some zone and some man. 

What happened last night with Northwestern and Central is not an unusual scenario.  In 6 of the past 15 years, the district champion did not advance in the playoffs.  That is why I chuckle a bit when I see all of the hype about rankings during the regular season, at least when it comes to these teams.

The fhsaa allows it so Madison isn't breaking any rules but to say it's a level playing field is crazy. Hats off to Madison they have a great program but should definitely be playing in 3A or 4A. 

PK hasn’t gameplanned for anyone all season. I don’t think they watch film offensively, because they come out with the same plays every week. Bama can do that, but the 99% of other teams must scout and scheme their team to victories

Hopefully they get rid of ALL the coaches and start over next year. It wasn't the refs. Pahokee got their a** kicked.

Glades Central finally gets their revenge on BTW!! Sorry we spoiled the rematch and everyone claimed was gonna happen(BTW VS University) GC gotta get ready for another rematch with University!! Keep sleeping on GC!!! Stay Woke!!

The Bulls are the historically black high school, together with BTW in Miami Dade. I think this has something to do with the fan base as it goes back to the days of segregation when it was the only option. So, today, there is probably  a certain pride in being a bull in Miami. 
Regarding Armwood, though like Apopka, they are in a large Metro County, like Apopka they are kind of on the outskirts. So, my initial reaction is they should have a larger base, but they don't. Not sure why. 

Pahokee is capable of beating teams (especially in 1A) without a coach. That's just how athletically talented the team is.
Coaches are supposed to reinforce discipline, and this Pahokee team has none.... Now I see why! The darn coach was thrown out the game!
The way it appears, the head coach isn't really the coach. The offensive coordinator is really calling the shots.

Pahokee has to get a group of coaches that are NOT from Pahokee to rebuild the program. The team is still very capable of winning, But they have no leadership or discipline.

Pahokee's offense lacks any real production, very vanilla!! GC played them 0 coverage for 90 percent of the game and the coach didn't make adjustments to counter that! Would've been easy to stack your receivers or run a lot of bunch sets, but that didn't occur! Oh well, another loss to an inferior team, GC executed a great game plan and PK didn't....

Good game Pahokee!!! But we gotta take that trophy back to Belle Glade

And I’m certainly not saying all 1a teams complain about it (I’ve got friends from Madison Co and Pahokee who certainly say otherwise) but I’ve heard some things that didn’t sit well with me. 
I think the average 1a team is considerably better than the average 2a team & the same with the top teams. 

Don't forget about Pahokee. I think some people forget Pahokee is a 1A team.

I totally agree Muckcitypride1. Pahokee and GC have been plagued with bad officiating forever.
Heck!...It was used as a method of inspiration for many years. But coaches at this level should be role models.
But let's forget about the officiating. Cocoa out-coached Pahokee. Vero and Seminole Ridge did the same. GC probably will do it Saturday. I've never seen such an athletically gifted team become so lack luster. The problem starts at the top, and I don't think the players are the problem!
