So your saying Columbia played awesome against madco and lost big? 

They had a sloppy game full of turnovers and played their worst game of season. Sometimes that's how the cookie crumbles. They turned around in their next game and handled their business against TCA (the best team on their schedule to date). The same TCA the rolled out of Lake City with a W. 

If Madison was ranked before the week they would have 
 
There were a lot of factors in the game that led to where they were ranked and the Chiles loss still hurts Madison resume and based on what I saw with both teams if played on a neutral site Columbia would win 70% of the time over Madison which was enough to put them same tier because of their positioning in the rankings but not enough to jump them from unranked while also having them jump some other teams between Madison and Columbia 
 
 
Your welcome to do your own rankings and put them wherever you like but I do have over 6 years of experience doing these rankings statewide now so I've gotten used to trying to find the right way to evaluate different approaches to rankings until I found a system that seems to work as evidenced by how the top half of the rankings are and how it's very similar to other ranking services give it take a few teams spots 

They dropped from 27 to 43 (16 drop) 
 
The reason they didn't drop as far as Rockledge (who was in the top 25) was because Madison wasn't that far from the top 50 after their win over Florida High and had Madison not had a loss to Winless Chiles earlier this year they would have been in the top 50 two weeks ago 
 
The rule of thumb in my rankings with unranked losses is the size of drop depends on 1 how they lost (margin of victory, overall performance, etc) and 2 how far was the gap between the team who lost and the team who beat them 
 
Merritt Island was much lower coming into last week than Madison was so Columbia didn't drop as far for their loss as Rockledge did 
 
If both teams are ranked then they may end up switching positions relatively if they are ranked close together (see West Orange jumping Osceola) depending upon how the game happened
 
In the case of Venice vs Cardinal Gibbons they were separated significantly with Venice at number 1 and Cardinal Gibbons at 17 last week but with how close they played and looking at the box score and in addition their loss to a down AHP team kept me from jumping them ahead and simply dropped Venice a few spots and put Cardinal Gibbons back in the top 10 

Or MadCo jump ahead of them?

Guess what, this kid may not be a D1 running back but he’s a good high school football player that is doing great things. And guess what, somehow this kid ran all over Hawthorne in the state championship, the same Hawthorne that shut down Madison. How about you celebrate Madison’s accomplishments and stop trying to shit on everyone else’s accomplishments. It’s a pretty pathetic look for you buddy.

When you finish a game with -58 yards of offense it doesn't matter how good your defense is, you won't win 

Offensive line imploded and couldn't protect Kade and even when he had time his throws were off target 
 
Bolles was a lot better on the DL than I expected, they dominated defensively and it left Columbia Defense on the field for too long 
 
I think it's still early in the season so it's not a situation where Columbia season is done but they will need to think of something because they really couldn't get anything going on offense and the defense can't carry them to a win every week when you are putting up negative yards of offense

2018 Hawthorne beat Pahokee in Hawthorne then lost to Madison.  2019 Pahokee beat Hawthorne in Pahokee. That 2019 game should have been played in Hawthorne but FHSAA wouldn't do anything about the unreported game that affected the seeding.  2020 Hawthorne beat Madison, Pahokee didn't play in the playoffs.  
Seeding will determine who plays who first. Also I believe this year seeding will determine the state semi-final round.  We could get some different matchups in the state championship game.

Did Hawthorne knock Pahokee out once so if Hawthorne knock out that 4A team that would be 2times that they have knock out pakokee because I think they would play pahokee first then that “Quote 4A team
