39-21. like I said, Lakewood is a good ball club. They beat most of the people left in the playoffs.

I was at the game and Pahokee outplayed Hawthorne but they was a victim of their own mistakes! In today's environment there should be no games played at that stadium until it becomes a secured location like most stadiums are. I complained about that stadium to my wife last year that it is not a secured safe location. Also, there was only three cops in the stadium with a game that level of magnitude and passion for football between both communities. Anyone can come to their stadium with guns because there was no one with a wand/metal detector as I can contest to from going through the visitor side. Also, the ladies at their gate was rude! I am not use to this as I spoke to the young black sheriff officer that said it was only him and two others working the game. You would think they would have beefed up security when there was three shootings previously that week before the game in the community as mention to me by the sheriff officer. in addition, There was horns and bells at the game that is a violation of FHSAA rules and no announcement was made! Pahokee has it faults but the whole altercation took place on Pahokee side of the field in which no Hawthorne player nor coach should not have been that far across the field and their fans access to the field is just ridicules! However, I got a feeling since Pahokee has a young team they will see each again but in Pahokee next year, just schedule like they do! GO BLUE DEVILS

I definitely give Bradford their props they came ready to play. They won the special teams battle the whole game but Cocoa got things straightened enough to pull out the win 31 - 21.
There was basically a 21 point swing that made it game.
Bradford returned the 2nd half kick 95 yards for a touchdown to make it 14-7 Cocoa. Then Cocoa's following possession their punt got blocked and returned then lateral on the block punt return for a touchdown tying it up. Was a better game than I assumed. Cocoa has to clean up the special teams and cut on some penalties still. One hold cost them a touchdown and a pass interference on defense kept a drive alive for Bradford leading to their 3rd touchdown.

Chaminade will be too much for Gorman, now that Mater Dei is out of the picture it's up to Central or Chaminade to take home the National Championship. Gorman already lost to Mater Dei, so that should take them out of the running.

I'm hoping Chaminade pulls away in the second half against BG

That's a stupid rule. Further illustrates that the top California schools want no part of STA, Central, AHP, or CMD.

California teams aren't permitted to play in any games after the post season. If all the state games were being played next week it would be Central playing in the Geico game 

It's almost like the folks from Polk County wanted it that way . . . why else would the FHSAA have switched from "population" to "population density" when determining the 10 counties that would be grouped together in the Metro division?  By making this subtle switch, Polk ended up in Suburban instead of Metro, thereby avoiding the south Florida teams in the playoffs. 
Or maybe that's just the conspiracy theorist in me.  

Pretty sure Chaminade-Madonna will get a shot at Bishop Gorman in the Geico.   If they win they might get a bump.   I'd love to see Chaminade, MC, STA, and maybe Lakeland duke it out though.    Doesn't feel right to have Lakeland and STA near the top and not be able to add to their rivalry.   

Oooh, oooh, I think I can answer your question.   After exhaustive research, it appears that Lakewood has managed to make it this far by winning three playoff games, beating Clearwater, Tampa Catholic and Calvary Christian. 
The last two wins were on the road and in each of the three games, Lakewood scored at least 42 points (scoring 63 in the Regional Finals).  
In my view, this is a typical Lakewood team.   They have a handful of exceptional athletes that play the skill positions.  Against many of the area teams, they simply "out-athlete" their opponent.  They rely on big plays to put lots of points on the scoreboard.  However, they lack quality players at every position and they simply don't have the depth they need to beat a top-tier team (like Lakeland, during the regular season, or Miami Central, in the playoffs). 
That said, it wouldn't surprise me if Lakewood manages to get a few early scores and keep the game close for a half.   But I would expect to see  Central pull away in the second half.  Lakewood wants a shootout, but they'll run out of ammunition in the third  or fourth quarter.

The Lakewood game is the Semifinal game. They will more than likely be playing AHP for the title which is a team ranked in the top 15 in most rankings. Central has been ranked all season and has been winning pretty handily. Also they remain undefeated as well.

Robinson and Godby went at it 2012 after the game. But same thing, a lot of jawing and not much in the way of “danger” to the kids. It’s unfortunate but sometimes it happens after heated playoff games. Hell, Dwyer and STA had a full fledged brawl in the 2016 playoffs and there were almost no suspensions.

Bottom line is all this video has been investigated by the FHSAA and you can update the thread topic to read "Game Will be Played at Hawthorne Friday" as it appears they found no evidence to move it.  End of story.
