Even all of broward county was forced to opt out the FHSAA playoff tournament, there is something special building at Dillard. 
 
my panthers have now won 20 consecutive regular season games for the first time in SCHOOL HISTORY, they have finished their short lived regular season undefeated which now makes it two seasons in a row we finish undefeated in the regular season. 
 
It still feel so surreal doing this without coach Frazier, but one thing I can say this is NO MORE the Dillard or Old, & if we had a choice to opt in Dillard Would MOST DEF would have a real shot at state. #GoPanthersGo!!!  @ColumbiaHighFan2017class @OldSchoolLion @561_Fan @muckboy561

Mt Dora didn't win a game in the regular season and won it's first ever playoff game in a playin game vs Eustis two weeks ago.   Played it's first playoff game 47 years ago.  I know this is not the answer

They tried this in 2005, but too many fans complained.  Apparently there was a young local boy who would sneak into all of the games and throw tantrums in the middle of the field because his team did not make the playoffs that year.

That's incredible.  Derrick Henry did 6 in a game.  I don't believe anyone in FL has ever rushed for 8 TD's in a playoff or regular game, so he at least tied the record if not eclipsed it.  

Oh I can tell from the score from last night. I'm just interested to see how Rockledge can respond to a team like AHP. Also, this will be their 2nd time playing each other in the past 3 seasons.

AHP looked very tough last night.  I watched part of the game on NFHS.  Their D is legit.

South Sumter is now in 4A and is still a contender. Maybe not as prolific as they were in 2A.

I consider Gainesville north Florida...southern, north central Florida to be exact

I'm guessing Armwood is one of them and Gainesville also beat Navarre in 2012 (not sure if your counting them if not feel free to scratch them out)
 
Lake Gibson in 2016 

In 2010 Trinity Catholic traveled to Pensacola Catholic and won. But it was a difficult game 21-14. Went undefeated and won the state championship. 

Lakeland beat Niceville in 2005 State Semis. Lake Gibson beat Navarre as well in 2016 I believe. Those are the only two off the top of my head I can think of. 

Should be a fun game next Friday in Gainesville. Definitely will be the best team either has faced this year. Niceville is now 9-0 with 9 running clocks. They were up 42-0 with 9:36 left in 2nd Quarter when Leon requested a running clock to start tonight. This Niceville team is gonna be hard to beat! 

7A Region 1 Niceville @ Buchholz Here's one of those I-10 matchups that usually seems to give an edge to the home team.  Buchholz had to travel to the Panhandle and beat an undefeated Navarre team to advance...never an easy road trip.  Now its Niceville's turn to make the big trip.  The last time they did against Edgewater, things did not turn out so well. 
7A Region 3 Armwood @ Bloomingdale  Can Bloomingdale beat Armwood twice in one season?  These two schools are only about 10 miles apart, so this game has some local flavor.  Whudda thunk that one day Bloomingdale would be a football contender?  30 years from now today's doormat program could be chasing a state title.  
6A Region 1 Mainland @ Columbia   Any time you put these two programs on the same field, you've got a good matchup.  
4A Region 2 Bolles @ South Sumter   These two teams have a great history.  South Sumter was a contender in 2A back in the early 2000's and used to give Bolles fits.
3A Region 4 Chaminade-Madonna @ Edison   Edison has steamrolled its 2 playoff opponents and gave Miami Central a game, holding the Rockets to only 14 points.  CM seems to be pretty one-dimensional...stop their big rb and you've got a chance.  I have not seen Edison, but in years past they have fielded some physical teams.  Back in the early 2000's, Edison bullied a favored CM team.  CM has struggled in years past against very physical Miami-Dade teams, and this one is being played in Dade.

As you may recall, Hardee was unbeaten 2 years ago. We played Bartow that season and while Bartow was winless, their players were just as fast and just as big as any ours. Just no direction.

Man. You just HATE anything Pahokee.....I said MIGHT, because I know the potential that he has. He can play WR, RB, and DB all at a high level, plus he only a 10th grader. I forgot, Madison only has the best team and produces the best players every year. 

HS football is usually about matchups.  Unless you are a typical IMG or St Thomas team and have a reasonable amount of talent across the board, there is at least one "inferior" team out there that is going to give fits to a certain more highly ranked team.  Rankings are a fun exercise in hs, but we all know they are not necessarily a good predictor of who is going to win a certain matchup.
