Good God, please don't tell me that Jesse and Columbia Fan are going to spend the next three pages of this thread arguing about whether Columbia and Madison are rivals!   I don't know if I can take it.   

Staying clear of this discussion as I sense political undertones and don't need more warnings.  Time will tell.

Some are weeks away, others are several months away. Different regions of the state and different schools within these regions finalize their schedules at different times. Factors to consider include: the size of the school's districts; whether they are in a district; attentiveness of administration responsible for such matters; the number of long time rivalries the schools has; whether the school seeks out of state or region games to bolster its reputation; other factors too numerous to mention. 
Expect to see the first set of schedules out early to mid-February and finalized schedules for the great majority of schools by sometime in the spring (late spring for several).

And if your holiday is other: Happy Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or whatever holidays you celebrate at this time of year. 
May 2022 bring happiness, joy and relative prosperity.

What a defensive struggle as both sides dominated the offense the entire game.  Difference in the game again was too many turnovers by OHS especially a bad punt snap deep in our territory that led to a safety .  West Orange managed one sustained drive the entire game for the only offensive TD.  Osceola managed one sustain drive the entire game for their only TD. Game was 9-7 with 18 seconds left in the game and we tried a desperation play and turned it over for the 4th or 5th time deep in our territory and they turned it into a TD with time expiring.   Final of 16-7 doesn't reflect the fact that outcome was still in doubt till the final seconds. Congrats to them getting the win, but I still feel we were the better team but again self-inflicted wounds was the difference.  Future looks bright for Osceola as they now have a year with a returning offensive line of underclassmen (Freshmen, sophs and  juniors) 7 or 8 deep; only loss on the OL is a senior we moved over from defense at tackle.  We knew that to be our weakness to begin the season and even though they continued to improve throughout the year, they had a tough time matching up with top notch DL like Cocoa and West Orange.  Our defense should be just as strong if not better returning most key players including 4 starters in the DL, including both 4* prospects John Walker and Derrick LeBlanc each with dozens of offers including Alabama, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Auburn, Texas, etc...  Great season for our Kowboys, so hold your heads high as you made your fans proud.  GO KOWBOYS.

Do you think the star players they recruit actually have to pay for school at the powerhouses?  They can give "need based" financial aid which basically amounts to a full scholarship.  Of course this is not all players but the stars they recruit are certainly not paying for school.  As far as transportation, there's some "creative" things going on there too.  Some players have been known to live with coaches while some get rides from coaches who live within the vicinity.  Others can drive themselves.  This isnt to say a majority arent on the up and up but I guarantee you a 3/4/5-star player in the hood can find a private school willing to take him and his academics.  Now the good part of this story is this is an opportunity for these kids to better themselves so I dont make a big issue of it other than to point out private schools are strongly advantaged over public schools.

Jesse, you need to call the FHSAA.  Obviously they screwed something up.  When I clicked on the brackets for 1A, it showed Madison as a number 3 seed.   WTF?!?!?  They don't even get a bye?   How can the number 1 team in the state be the third seed in their Class 1 region???   Forget the phone call -- head to Gainesville right now and camp outside the FHSAA offices so you can bring this miscarriage of justice to their attention first thing tomorrow morning so they can correct it.

Jambun, it isn't just the newspaper in Daytona.  The Orlando Sentinel here in my area, sister publication Sun-Sentinel in Broward, Miami Herald, Tampa Tribune, et al.  in Florida have the same views..   Locals here call ours the "Slantenil".

Scorestream relies upon fans attending a game to voluntarily report scores as they occur. It's not a perfect system but it does allow those of us that can't be at the game to follow the scores. I try to attend all Winter Park games and post or track the posting of scores by others. There is a way for people at the game to "confirm" the accuracy of a post and make changes. I can't be at next week's WP vs Evans game, so I'm thankful that fans accessing Scorestream will keep me up to date. 

Since it's a district game, it will probably have to be rescheduled. Sad but not surprised this happened. 

I hope that none of the football platers were involved. If they were involved, it would probably be all over social media by now, and their Twitter page doesn't mention it. 

Must be something in the air in Central Florida today. Fox 35 also had a report this afternoon that there was a big fight today among a large group of students at Seminole HS in Sanford that was so out of control that faculty had to call in the police to break it up. No report as to how many students were arrested. 

September 17th Apopka @ Ocoee Football Game Cancelled.
As reported this afternoon on local Orlando Fox 35 news, tomorrow's (Friday) Apopka @ Ocoee game has been cancelled due to a number of Covid cases at Ocoee High School. They didn't say if it will be rescheduled.

I am not overlooking anyone at all.  I am not a football coach so my opinion doesn't even matter.  Heck I haven't seen a live gave in a year and haven't seen Jones in person in like 5 or 6 LOL.  I am sure Jones is really good like they have been in recent years.  Jesuit is good too and their coaches won't look past anyone.  Peezy = Dumb Fan = don't take anything valid with my opinion.  LOL.

According to my administration the grades are still not in. But they were able to obtain the scores and run the grades and predict exactly where the gpa will end up.  The end result is all of the kids who couldnt play last week are able to play this week and onward!
 

Biship Sycamore will play your JV team on Thursday night and stick around and play your varsity team on Friday night if you promise them that the game will be live-streamed.  

Won't happen. Recruiting factory STA is fearful of playing recruiting factory IMG because they don't want to lose recruits. 

The coaching staff at WP is being real careful with Terrance Gibbs. He's an amazing RB with great pass catching skills also. They don't want to risk his future at UF and thereafter. Having Amaris Shaw at RB makes it a lot easier to give Terrance a few more weeks. The word I get from my grandson is that Terrance has been awesome in practice.
