Maybe Chiles is getting robbed of a playoff spot but we will likely be robbed of the #2 seed because of Chiles going and refusing to sign the contract to play Columbia after your coaches initially agreed and it was the third time in the last 5 years that we have had to scramble for a game because Chiles would tell Columbia "oh we will play you all" then the minute the contract gets sent in "we gonna have to pass on playing"

So way I see it this is karma for screwing teams over and you all deserve what's happening

Karma lol.  The system sucks and is a joke.  The worst part is no one even knows the secret ranking formula they use.  Anyone trust the FHSAA to get it right and not make mistakes?

Oh I absolutely agree

I still believe they changed more than they claimed and we have no way to double check

I just say karma because Chiles has screwed Columbia over several times over the last few years so I'm glad if anyone is paying from this crap system it's them

    • If I recall, there was an in season transfer involving Booker and Venice after a RB got injured?  Going from memory so might be wrong.
    • An example is a player who transferred to Somerset-Canyons after playing the first two games of the 2024 regular season with Palm Beach Central.  According to the FHSAA, a student may participate in a sport at his/her new school if the student participated in that same sport at another school during that school year, if the student meets one of the following criteria: (a) Dependent children of active-duty military personnel whose move resulted from military orders. (b) Children who have been relocated due to a foster care placement in a different school zone. (c) Children who move due to a court-ordered change in custody due to separation or divorce, or the serious illness or death of a custodial parent. (d) Authorized for good cause in district, private or charter school board policy. I suspect the bar for "good cause" is pretty low.  If a parent applies for a transfer for his/her son, it seems unlikely that anyone in a position of authority is going to seriously question the parent's motivation.
    • Don’t remember if it was the season before last or last but there was a RB that played in the kickoff classic for Jesuit then transferred to Wesley Chapel.  He played that next week. Someone told me about it but I did not verify .
    • Dumb question then.  Weren't there some infamous in-season transfers this football season?  I seem to remember them being discussed here but don't recall which player/teams were involved.
    • Northwestern and Jones playing again and I agree with you with Central. Long term they'll be good because that neighborhood has talent it's just those few transfers might not be at Central anymore
