Amongst running backs who played high school football in Florida and went on to play in college, he ranks 7th in terms of career rushing yards in the NCAA.  Belongs to an elite club of Florida running backs who gained over 4000 career rushing yards and earned All-American status in college.

It is Errict Rhett, who played for the McArthur Mustangs in Hollywood back in the late 1980's.  In addition to playing football, he also was a star wrestler and won multiple state titles.  

After high school, he played for the Florida Gators, and gained over 4000 career rushing yards, surpassing Emmitt Smith's record.  He is still the leading Gator rusher of all time.   In 1993, Rhett earned All-American honors.  Only one other Florida high-school baller has gained more career rushing yards while playing college ball in the SEC.  And at the time he graduated, only one Florida high school running back had gained more career yards in the NCAA. 

Rhett was drafted in the second round of the 1994 draft by the Tampa Bay Bucs.  He played seven seasons in the NFL and finished with over 4000 career rushing yards.
