Northwestern vs South Dade Highlights

Could da Bulls start off 1-2 like in 2015?  Northwestern is liable to be in for a tough game this week at South Dade, who is 2-0 this season and has allowed only 6 points on defense.  The Bucs will have revenge on their mind after a beatdown they sustained in their last meeting with the Bulls

The Bucs have won 46 games over the past 5 seasons.  Last year they had a stout defense that allowed an average of 9 points per game.  2016 was an anomaly.  They only scored 44 points during the entire season, but their defense was so good they still managed to win 4 games.  This is a team that makes a habit of keeping games close.  Of the 13 games they have lost over the past 5 seasons, 10 were by 2 TD's or less.  The Bucs won the 2013 8A title and are regulars in the playoffs.  

Their offense is led by human highlight reel WR Frank Ladson, one of the most highly recruited players in the country.  Good luck to the DB who has to cover this guy!  They also feature 3 University of Miami commits, LB Keshawn Washington, S Jaiden Francois, and OG Jonathan Denis.

I think Southridge has a better shot of beating BTW than South Dade over MNW.  Then again I'm wrong quite a bit!

video of South Dade versus Coral Gables.  Demterius Burns, qb for South Dade, transferred from Everglades Prep after last season.  He finished this game 15-25 for 277 yards.  Najeh Baker of SD caught 7 passes for 89 yards and Frank Ladson had 3 receptions for 98 yards.   Roderick Grissom led the ground game with 71 yards on six carries.  So, it appears the Bulls will need to be ready for an aerial assault.

North Miami looks pretty decent themselves.   Good size.

South Dade QB Demetrius Burns is flying under the radar.  He ran for one TD tonight and completed a 50-yard TD pass to Demetrius Randolph and a 64-yard TD pass to 5-star Frank Ladson.  In his first 3 games, he has been behind 10 of the Bucs' 11 TD's.  Bucs DB Jaiden Francois got his 4th INT of the season tonight.   South Dade has another WR named Najeh Baker who is a potential target.

Highlights of South Dade's 20-18 win.  #9 for Southridge is 5-star Frank Ladson.  

NW's losses to IMG, Columbus and South Dade...maybe best 3-loss team in the state.
