Results of STA non-district games versus Broward public schools over the past couple of years.  Stranahan is a 5A school.  Miramar and Deerfield have been formidable foes,  but beyond that, it has been utter domination over the past 25 years except for a few games here and there.

They lost to Miramar last year. STA lost to 3 publics last year. 

STA always gets a tough game from Deeefield and Miramar. The rest not so much

Prior to 1985, St Thomas Aquinas routinely played regular season games against Florida teams from outside Broward County.   For example, in the late 1970's and early 1980's, STA played Naples,  Barron Collier, Immokalee, Key West, Bartow, Homestead, Monsignor Pace,  Archbishop Curley, Edison, Sunset, Atlantic, Lake Worth, JI Leonard, Palm Beach Gardens, Boca Raton, Okeechobee, etc etc

Below are regular season games STA has played against non-Broward Florida teams since then.  I can think of so many fantastic games that could have been played against teams north of Broward County over the past 30 years, as well as in Miami-Dade.  For whatever reason, they have not happened.

Piper to their credit has done decent this year.   It will be interesting when they play Chaminade this year.
