In 1975, the "regional playoff/title" was born. Since then, the current 5A-8A schools listed below have won the most titles.  In case you are interested in the smaller classes, Glades Day has won 20 regional titles, Bolles and Madison County have each won 15 regional titles, and Pahokee, Fort Meade and Trinity Christian have each won 14 regional titles.

 

St Thomas Aquinas-21 regional titles, 7 state runner-up titles, 10 state titles

Manatee-15 regional titles, 2 state runner-up titles, 5 state titles  

Lakeland-13 regional titles, 1 state runner-up titles, 6 state titles

Armwood-12 regional titles, 6 state runner-up titles, 2 state titles (1 vacated)

Carol City-11 regional titles, 2 state runner-up titles, 5 state titles

Booker T Washington-11 regional titles, 1 state runner-up title, 5 state titles

Northwestern-9 regional titles, 2 state runner-up titles, 5 state titles

Plant-10 regional titles, 2 state runner-up titles, 4 state titles

Osceola-10 regional titles, 4 state runner-up titles, 1 state title

Lincoln-8 regional titles, 2 state runner-up titles, 3 state titles

Dillard-8 regional titles, 3 state runner-up titles, 2 state titles

Booker T is the most impressive considering they have only been a team since 2000. 

I know they were an all black team but they closed in the 60's. Reopened like Blake, Middleton and Dunbar. 

They didn't stay open like MNW, Dillard and Ely.
