Jarvis played for Palatka High and helped them get to two state finals in 1981(vs Suncoast) and 1983(vs Titusville).  He was an All-American for the Gators in 1987.  He played 7 season in the NFL,  6 for the Dolphins.  He helped former teammate Kerwin Bell start the Ocala Trinity Catholic program.  He died of an acute asthma attack at the age of 45 in 2010.
