3A Final, viewed through semi final games

Trying to get a feel for who will win in 3A. Might be the most competitive state game?

CM beating Berkely Prep was expected, but what does it say about it being so close? Coach Ciao does such a good job of eating clock, with a power running game, and then playing mistake free, no big plays on defense, that they probably stole some possessions from CM and the big play Miami speed. But to be within a field goal??

I watched Trinity Catholic beat Gainesville, and haven't seen an offensive line that huge and dynamic since Ely 2002 (Tyrone Moss anyone?). Not just the THREE SEC recruits (name another OL in the nation that can match that), but the huge TE and the sophomore kid, who was as good looking as the other 3. Plus the TB, Samuel... Kid was powerful. A qb whose dad is an SEC coach? I couldn't believe they lost any games with that offense. Never seen such a potentially imposing ground game.

So then they get smacked around by TC? So does that makes TC unbeatable? Proseteyes and a TC supporter on here can speak to this maybe? There is a 3A fan named Jessica who has good intel, but I'm not sure she's around anymore.

I see this being a low-scoring game.  I watched Chaminade-Madonna play American Heritage and CM had a stout, well-rounded defense.  And Jessica would remind us that CM is a team that seems to gel as the season progresses.  I would be surprised if they gave up many points in a state final.

I heard Thad Franklin has been nursing an injury.  But, I've noticed CM has another back or two who have been making noise.  Assuming Franklin plays, these other backs may give him enough rest to break a big run off in the final.

That said, the key will be TC stopping CM's running game.  If they do, they have a chance, If not, CM may be tough to beat, even with a rather one-dimensional offense.

Not exactly smacked around when you score 33 points. That being said, I stated earlier that I was not worried about the Celtic's offense I was somewhat apprehensive about their defense against a prolific team like TCA. The Celtic defense, although very good, is not quite on the level of the better teams in the state. TCA just happens to be a better overall team at least on this Friday. OTC will have most of their starters back for next season and will be a force to be reckoned with.

Looking at how Jax TCA played y’all how do u think they will match up in the state game ????

and i no comparisons don’t mean nothing .. but Jax TCA beat and shut out American heritage the one team that beat Chaminade-Madonna ... also for almost the whole season Jax TCA main starters for there skill positions on offense were hurt .. since  the starters are finally heathy the offense has been rolling .... if Jax TCA plays D like the did against AHP and play offense like the did against OTC , I promise they will run it up on CM !!!
