    I just realized Taurean Charles went to UF, Northwestern has to be Marvin Jones who went on to play for the Jets in the NFL.

    Trick question? Southeast was "technically" the first team, but Bolles and Southridge also went 15-0 that same year, 1993 Southridge was one of FLA's most dominant teams in the modern era. They scored 70pts in the title game against a very good Manatee squad. https://twitter.com/CountyPolk

    These two teams were powerhouses in the 90's. At the time of this game, they were two of the top-ranked teams in the state. Riverview was nationally ranked. I think most would agree that Shawn Bane for Riverview was one of the top rb's to ever come out of Sarasota County. Two great teams and two great hc's...what more could one ask for to get your hs football fix while waiting for the season to start.

    This was my junior year at Southeast. Those Ft. Myers games were frustrating in '91-'92.

    I attempted to add some data here, but it just wouldn’t work. But, you can google him and you will see that he was an All-American, All-State, and also MVP of the Florida-Georgia All-Star game (which was a big deal back then). I’m not here to debate neither, but his high school and college career puts him about many of the guys mentioned.

    The '91 Noles were the first team Fort Myers beat in the state playoffs. Won up there 24-15 and at home the following year 30-7. Despite popular belief, FM had some nasty teams in the '90's.
