I can bash who I want. They have a fake national championship. That doesn't mean I don't like them or don't think they deserved a shot. Go Knights

    Florida vs OOS

Actually on the contrary my wife usually works a 12 on Fridays (since she is in school Tuesday through Thursday now) and by the time she gets home at around 8 She is too tired to go out anywhere and the kids have worn me out so I am tired and by that time I can only make it to a Plant game and have it still be in the 1st half and since Plant Sucks this year I just stay home or go catch the 2nd half of one of the close by teams (CCC, Clearwater, Largo, PPark). For me to travel to Lake City I would essentially have to abandon my kids to fend for themselves for about 4 hours while they wait for mommy to get home... The 2 year old would probably be okay but not so sure about the 4 year old LOL.... I won't be traveling much if at all this season or next season for any game.

  6. Apples to oranges You could have 3-7 teams in SFL who still have more talent at their disposal than most of the teams in North Florida It don't mean a 3-7 team should be ranked higher than a team who hasn't lost a game

    Florida vs OOS

Translation: Now that I have kids, Friday night is date night. And my wife has made it clear that if I want to have any shot at getting a little nooky, I best not spend my Friday nights out watching high school football games.

  8. If you want to head just a little further West (probably about 20 minutes from say Plant) and maybe see some water Pinellas county has not cancelled their games. There are a few interesting matchups but not a lot Jesuit @ Clearwater (2-0 vs 1-1 and complete contrast of styles and cultures) Tampa Catholic @ CCC (CCC is O-2 but I think they are a good playoff team still) Largo @ Pinellas Park (this game looked a lot better before PPark got blasted 40-0 by Lakewood but if you like defensive low scoring clock moving games this is the one.) That is about it all the rest will be either blowouts or highly uninteresting

USF has problems that a coach can't easily fix. First, they don't have their own stadium; they get almost no revenue from their games at Raymond James Stadium. Second, the AD is scheduling 2 and 1 (away/home) agreements with Power 5 teams; that's hurts twice, less home games and the away team fills up Raymond James making it like an away game for USF. Also, teams like UCF, Memphis, Cincinnati, and Houston are all having more success in recruiting and on the field. Charlie Strong has a tough job trying to build that team.

  11. Unfortunately football coaches have little say in these decisions.

  12. It would make sense to, especially with the new playoff structure. One missed day of practice should not cause games to be cancelled Friday.

They have a better coach at USF in Charlie Strong.

Over the past 19+ seasons (the 21st Century), no FBS program has more wins (208) than Boise St.

  16. Jax Trinity was 13-1 last season in 5A. Went out in the 4th round in a very close game. Just look at their 2018 schedule and the teams they competed against. How in the world can you state that they are not a good team and haven't been?

  17. Another problem they face is that most of the public high schools are being used for shelters during the storm. Getting everyone out and getting the schools cleaned up for classes will make Friday games all but impossible. Most Orlando area JV and Freshmen games for Thursday have already been cancelled.

  18. Dude (I'm assuming), you're on a roll this morning. But, as I have suggested in other threads, I truly believe that the FHSAA's hands are tied on this right now. They opposed the law that went into effect 3-4 years ago that essentially legalized open/free transfers. They knew what would happen (i.e., what is now happening). But, if the FHSAA tries to regulate the transfer of student/athletes in a way that contradicts the law, they run the risk of getting legislated out of existence.
