A team can have quality losses. No reason to drop if a loss is better than a win against poor competition.

Also it is your rankings so put them in any order you like.  Your opinion means as much as anybody's.

I would do it for a few thousand as well (already did one region in one classification), I wish Frank Beasley would contact me about it.

But I just want to make sure what am I doing in my spread sheet is correct. I hope would hope they release the information every week (even if it is going to have wild fluctuations and be of little consequence until later in the season). A new system needs to have as much transparency as possible for the coaches, fans, and the media. The media and fans will be faster to check mistakes than the normal one-man administration team at the FHSAA.  

I think Gadsden County is going to be a force to be reckoned with this year.

There are benefits to live in small towns and rural areas. For one, you tend to have better, longer lasting friendships and a much better sense of community.
Unfortunately, on the other side of the coin, there are less opportunities to make a living. The trade off is real. 

Cocoa will travel to Jacksonville. Road games can be tricky. Cocoa has the talent but there is still a lot the Tigers need to work out. Such as defending the deep pass and Blocking on the O-Line. Cocoa run is solid because of quickness not the gaping holes the O-line are creating. 
Trinity can match Cocoa in Talent pretty much, but they did lose some decent talent off the offense. I'll go with Cocoa as far as having a better Offense, but if Trinity can bring a good defense to the game it will be interesting. Trinity is going to want revenge after losing in OT in Cocoa to the Tigers.
I'm going to say it's going to be close unless Cocoa can get the passing game on offense and defense together by game time. 

Every game is a full house.  It is a spectacle that must be seen if you like high school football.  And it isn't just Niceville,   Crestview, Navarre, Choctaw, Baker are all the same.   Come to Niceville games for the band.  It isn't often you see a band with 350 members.  It is fun, and yes I wish we had more games.   I've been going for 21 years and still love it.

Don't worry about whether or not you impressed outsiders in a game that doesn't count.  The important thing is did your players learn from the experience and see what they need to work on this week.  It is also very important that the Dillard players know that they were able to compete with STA so they don't have any reason to fear anyone else they play.  Dillard should be very good.

I think it is hard for anyone who has been a fan of a traditional power to see the changes in the HS football landscape over the past few years.  We will all just have to learn to live with it and really celebrate when the old schools have good runs.  

I'm not not denying any of the well deserved history,tradition,  and appreciate the way the muck powers became nationally elite teams.  They are in a decent run now and should be still be respected as very good teams but I refuse to let it distort my opinion.  Keep in mind, I had no problem calling these teams top 100 and sometimes top 25 teams 10 - 15 years ago.

Simple, $$$$$ thats all its about. How? Because the way the laws are written in this state placing private schools on the same level as public schools. But public schools can’t travel to a players home in other counties and states to sit down with parents of players saying “if he come plays for us we will give him a free tuition”, while private schools do this day in and day out. But we have other states that says no to the private vs public same level because they knew that private schools basically do what they want to get players.

Rankings are subjective..Most people rank teams that fit their narratives/biases...Bigger schools are better or more rated players means a better team...The same with player rankings..A few years ago a kid won d-player of the year with 36 tackles and 4 sacks...when I saw a kid have 18 tackles (10 for loss) and 3 sacks in a single game that season. Pahokee had a kid with 23 sacks, on a state championship team (at the time) and didn't get a vote for defensive player of the year...It's all what fits your narrative

PSJ tried to pay them to play us but they declined.  Yeomans told me he was gonna win 8 games and go to the playoffs this year, but they've won only 16 in the last 10 years.  I think he is a good coach but if he does that he is better than Saban.
