Why didn’t the suburban and rural teams play in north Florida and the metro teams play in south Florida? 
 
Chaminade has to drive 9 hours to play a game when half the title games are minutes up the road. And if Columbia qualifies they will have to head 7 hours South instead of up the street to Tally.

SJB and Mater Dei are the only teams in the country that would have had a chance against this Miami Central team. I've been saying this since July, the 2022 Central team was going to be extremely special and look at where they are now. 2 wins away from a national title after Dei's loss to Bosco. Keep soaring Rockets!

Those are facts. After the MD loss there was a poll that had SJB #4 saying SJB will jump to #1 eventhough the teams ahead of them won

They will need to win out first. While favored, the last thing they should do is look too far ahead. If they focus on the next two games, one game at a time, they will have a shot. At the end of the day, it is not guaranteed as this is a popularity contest, not something settled on the field.

Well well well one thing about revenge it can taste so sweet, after Dillard beat Norland in the KOC I told everybody Norland is gonna be a problem this year & some folks laughed it out ; now look at them Vikings in the third round. 
 
after losing to Booker T in the first game by a few scores , mainly because of turnovers them Norland boys came out with a vengeance on defense tonight. This was one of the best defensive game plans I’ve seen this year. 
 
booker T couldn’t do ANYTHING on offense even when they were on Norlands goal line on TWO separate occasions. With that said both teams were solid , unfortunately in this time of year only 1 team can move on. 

As it stands right now, Central is the number 3 team in the nation. There is still a scenario where they could get to number 1, but they need a few things to go their way.
1. First and foremost: IMG must find a way to defeat SFA tomorrow. Easier said than done.
2. Miami Central needs to win all of their remaining games and secure the 2M state championship.
3. Mater Dei needs to either be upset by Los Alamitos (very unlikely,) or lose their rematch to Saint John Bosco in the second round. I don't know if there is anyone else in the CIF League that would be capable of defeating them.

But if Mater Dei runs the table, even if Central wins out the MNC will go to Mater Dei. Also Central needs help from the team they beat in week one...IMG to pull off the win against SFA.

he was not running wild. he was getting hit in his mouth, heritage took the lead off of bad central mistakes. i was there. central came back easily & pulled away easily. heritage was not on the same level. i may even go as far to say that heritage wouldn’t even have beat killian as they were more formidable

Baker wasn't any better. The thing is 5A is Miami Central, AHP a distant 2nd, and a bunch of average at best teams.

In the records book, they've taken away info such as most playoffs wins and the total playoff wins/losses for all participating schools for starters.  I've also notice quite a few errors in scores including inverted games, incorrect scores info and downright missing scores altogether.  The FHSAA needs to do better.
 

I’m not trying to bash MI. The point I was trying to make was teams like MI could not make a finals in a playoff bracket that was consolidated and competitive. When you play Satellite and Sebring to make the finals, that’s proof the classes are way too watered down. These all might be good teams for their little area, but on a state scale they are not. Regardless of the makeup. 

The fact that Merritt Island can make a final is a travesty. it’s a black eye and stain on the FHSAA. Teams like this should be getting booted out in the 1st and 2nd round of a real playoff. Not playing freaking Sebring for the right to make state. The classes are WAAAAAAYYYYY too watered down. We need to consolidate and do it now!!! 

I'm going to go with Pine Forest, primarily because I know little about them and figure they may be better than any of us realize. But I don't give them much of a chance.
TBT's win over Lake Gibson was diminished some when I realized after the fact that LG played without Jevonte McClendon. He was a key part of their secondary, and could have made the difference in stopping the QB runs for TBT. LG also was without McClendon vs. Lowndes, which was the only other game LG got run on consistently. They had McClendon for both Lakeland games and Edgewater. IMO, the best Tech can do is what Edgewater did the last couple of years: lose but be competitive in the process.
Merrit Island is terribly outmanned and has no business being on the field with Central.

Yeah these games it's impossible to pick bc it will be massive blowouts. 3 national teams vs 3 okay teams.
