Yes and no. Aside from STA, class 7A currently does not have loaded teams. Yes, it has many good teams, but Dillard as it currently is can compete and has a shot at beating all that stands in your way. If the goal is to win a state championship, it can be done. Now if the goal is to be in the National top 25 (a mythical ranking), then you need to match the Centrals and Northwesterns in recruiting. The way things currently are in the state, as long as your school is not at capacity, it is easy to do this if you are in a large metro area, since school choice exists for all intents and purposes. 

Big urban schools are always going to poach from smaller schools with less resources. It’s unfortunate but I understand why it happens and there’s not much that can be done to stop it at a local level. As far as scheduling, it would behoove any team that expects to make a deep playoff run to schedule some tough quality opponents. Don’t have to break your back playing the IMG’s and STA’s of the world but playing some tough area opponents (i.e, Cardinal Gibbons, American Heritage, Central,) would certainly help as you get an understanding of the physicality and power of other teams. Beating up on local garbage isn’t going to prepare you for an opponent like STA or AHP in the playoffs. Have to challenge yourself in order to bring your play to the next level.

It's too bad that STA, Miami Central can't be in the same class. Whoever made up the attendance factor needs a pound of sand dropped on their head. The playoffs are still watered down, and many blowouts are still happening.

Refs paid to cheat?????? Cmon thats grade school dung! That’s cheerleader banter. The Refs are from a different county, not from Dade or Broward. AH stadium is tiny, they won’t fit half the central fans who wanna come. HAVING SAID THAT: Rockets OL & DL are the best I’ve seen. They wear u out by the 4th qtr. If u don’t have a good QB, you don’t stand a chance. Fletcher, AH RB, is a stud, but if you can’t stretch the field with your offense, u gonna get shut down. Patriots gonna fight now, but it’s the Rockets game to lose......

Two good defenses.  American Hertiage QB has been out since getting injured versus St. Thomas. Central offense has been clicking lately. I will take Central in a hard fought game.

Tough 2nd round matchup. Could be the best two teams in all of Class 5A.

So American Heritage will host Miami Central next week and from what I've been reading it's already problems. Central cheerleaders and marching band has been banned from entering the stadium and the ref's are getting paid to cheat.
Any thoughts on the match up you guys 

I absolutely hate the RPI.  It is nearly 100% incorrect in identifying the correct at large playoff teams.  I think a simple change if they want to keep their over-simplified formula is there should never be more than 2 teams from a district unless the playoff field is not filled completely, then you can start taking 3 or more teams from a single district.  

I’m wit u bro I’m in Atlanta now & it’s gonna eat me up not being there every Friday. I can hear the band & crowd now smh. 
 
but I’ll be there for Deerfield week 2 St Thomas week 8 soul bowl & any big playoff games. 

The FHSAA is incompetent. That's why. 

I would tell you if the bumbling stumbling idiots at the FHSAA had a master schedule posted on their site for the fans of their member schools 

In my unbiased opinion, on paper it's a defensive masterpiece. The offense is solid as well. However what you see on paper has to show on the field. OL is a concern. Along with chemistry. 

I know the number of transfers on defense has been significant. But, ultimately the kids that are new have to be as good or better than who they replace. Sometimes it works out that way, sometimes not so much.

And I'm guessing the schedule was finalized even before half of the Hallandale defense transferred over to Central. 

Dang, Miami Central plays St John Bosco *and* Bishop Gorman back to back?  They must feel really good about their team this year.

I wonder how ST John bosco looking this year & which john bosco is it it’s a few good ones but 1 very solid one. 
 
but as many transfers MC got so far it most likely won’t even matter.

depends on how u look at it, because in some rankings the KOC can raise or decrease your rankings. 
 
like for example if img played Clewiston in a KOC classics next month and clewiston some how won, img national championship aspirations would all but falter where as clewiston rankings would sky rocket.
 
so In that case if a KOC game can effect your rankings good or bad, then in a way the game does kind of count, so in that way alone that’s why I lowkey kind of count it. 
 
but I do understand it’s not technically apart of the regular season 10 slate game list.

BTW, that’s a pretty weak schedule! Gibbons & Dillard the toughest games. No out of state team. No 305. No Deerfield.
