My over unders for this week and hypotheticals
 
DP-Sem 50 - There are lot of "it depends" in this one
SR-DB 40 - Higher o/u because SFL is unpredictable
DP-SR 28 - Defensive game
DP-DB 55 - A lot like DP-Vero
Sem-SR 32 - I'd pick Southridge by two scores
Sem-DB 75 - highest scoring

Columbia

Miami Southridge @Vero Beach
 
DP's defense faced what could have been their achilles heel against Vero Beach. Seminole has not seen a defense this fast all season and will need to air it out or else they will be eaten alive. I thought Vero had a shot last night but in this one I'm going with DP. The defense is very good and Marvin Washington has been great running and throwing the ball. Seminole has given up A LOT of points against good running teams. That being said Seminole's two offensive studs can break any play open. I think they'll score 1-2 long TDs but struggle driving the ball.
 
In the other game I like Southridge because of their defense. Their QB flings it and they have a ton of athletes in the backfield.

Great game, 34-24 DP, teams were about even. Wow Vero what a QB and that Smith WR is the real deal

We couldn't stop the pass. Can't see who could. QB gets it out so quick. WE WILL REPRESENT

I like Southridge in the south.

2016 is better. The 2017 class is loaded especially on defense. Last year the team was mostly juniors. Remember last year Osceola beat DP 20-19 on a pick 6 and West Orange scored 2TDs in the last minute to beat them.
 
DP had their worst outings of the year against Mainland, Olympia (24-14) and Freedom (38-0) this year. The Apopka game came down to the last play and DP was on the 5. Apopka and DP are about even but we all know what happened to APK.

they are toxic... some bad eggs on that board. i mean really bad people.

Go out on a limb and pick one.
 
I say Ridge Community beats Vero Beach

Manatee can beat DP if DP has an off game like they did against Olympia. Panthers haven't missed the second round since 2005.
 
I believe 8A North will crown either Apopka, DP, Seminole or Osceola. Vero Beach is #5 to me still.
 
Any of those five would compete in the title against the south.

Jones/Bishop Moore in the same 5A district ? Sounds like a mini Miami/Notre Dame every year

He's the ultimate players coach because he gets to know his players on a personal level... and when he tells you, or yells at you that you did it wrong you know he's trying to bring out your potential.
 
My favorite thing about KP was his ability to keep it fun (and funny! for real) while focusing on what to do to win and the "why". He let this Jr WR (who didn't really play) give comedy briefings after practice.
 
Small things like that do wonders for a team, its morale, and how they play together. He reminds you that it's just a game.
 
My one regret is that when I played for him I had a pretty bad (broken) leg injury that I couldn't recover from (I took four of the eight recommended weeks off). That was right before our kickoff classic. He had me at absolute peak condition talent wise and physically but it came crashing down with one hit. My senior year was not like my junior year and I only had a few catches due to injury --- a 50 yarder was the one I really remember. Personal story over I kind of rambled there
