Bishop Sullivan Catholic has filled the final holes in its football schedule.

The Crusaders and new coach Chris Scott will play 11 regular-season games with the addition of Eastern Christian Academy (Oct. 21) and Pasquotank of Elizabeth City, N.C. (Nov. 4). Bishop Sullivan was seeking a final few games to fill the schedule after last week announcing the addition of Florida power IMG Academy.

The Crusaders open the season at home Aug. 26 against Liberty Christian of Lynchburg and also play two powerhouse programs from Maryland in Good Counsel – ranked No. 37 nationally by MaxPreps – and Gilman School, which finished last season No. 13 in the final USA Today national poll.

Bishop Sullivan is not eligible to compete for a VISAA state championship because the schedule features only two state private school teams (Bishop Ireton and Bishop O’Connell). Liberty Christian left the VISAA last year to join the Virginia High School League.

A look at Bishop Sullivan’s schedule, confirmed Monday by athletic director Richard Hine:

Aug. 26 vs. Liberty Christian (Lynchburg)

Sept. 1 at Bishop Ireton (Alexandria)

Sept. 10 vs. Gilman School (Baltimore)

Sept. 17 at Bishop McNamara (Forestville, Md.)

Sept. 23 at St. Frances Academy (Baltimore)

Sept. 30 Good Counsel (Olney, Md.)

Oct. 7 at Providence Day (Charlotte)

Oct. 15 at Bishop O’Connell (Arlington)

Oct. 21 vs. Eastern Christian Academy (Elkton, Md.)

Nov. 4 at Pasquotank (Elizabeth City, N.C.)

Nov. 19 vs. IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) at Virginia Beach Sportsplex
