When Football Becomes Basketball

Tonight, the Lake Mary Rams defeated the Dr. Phillips Panthers by a score of 76-60. Now LM has a Sophomore starting QB who will likely be the second coming of Ben Roethlisberger, but 78 points? Man ... and how does their D give up 60?

On the other end of the spectrum, Apopka escaped with a 2-0 win against Ocoee.

Tempo is a huge deal for offenses. If they can efficiently play at a fast pace, and maintain a complex enough playbook, they're going to score a ton of points. The only chance defenses have against the best offenses is to have a defensive front dominate. If the front 4 or 3 can't get into the backfield, the best offenses are unstoppable. Particularly with the roughing the passer, PI and targeting calls being so frequent.
