Some say that Jackson High from Jacksonville recognizes Duval High as their own history.

Duval High started football in 1907 and split into Landon, Jackson and Lee in 1928.

So if Jackson recognizes Duval as their own, then that would make them tied for 2nd oldest ever

Jackson high holds the offical records for duval high

Manatee was a product of a merger of Bradenton High and Palmetto High in 1947.

However, Manatee High still recognizes all of Bradenton Highs history as their own and even wrote a book about it.

Manatee also claims a state championship from 1915 which is bullshit

If they can claim that I'm gonna file to claim 5 more state titles from our undefeated seasons prior to state playoff era

1915 results: record 9-0

vs Palmetto 44-0

vs Plant City 14-0

vs Plant City 20-0

vs St Pete 45-0

vs Hillsborough 14-0

vs St Pete 39-0

vs Hillsborough 6-0

vs Southern College 19-0

vs Gainesville 10-0

Is being undefeated the only thing to claim championships that far back

Back in the day it was crazy. I don't have it in front of me but SOS was the determining factor I believe

Odds are probably similar to what they used to do in college where they would claim any undefeated season as a championship since there wasn't a official publication deciding it
