..some to keep an eye on beyond Scalzo from Gibbons.

Quarterbacks

2019 - Demetrius Burns, Homestead South Dade. Here is definitely a prospect that is way under the radar screen - and with a solid season ahead - he could definitely jump into that elite group. Strong arm, field leader and throws quality balls. Keep your eye on his progress all season!

2019 - Deon Jones, QB, Miami Norland. Has really made some major strides in the offseason after a year of watching and learning more. Could be one of the breakout performers of 2018.

2021 - Torey Morrison, QB, Miami Booker T. Washington. Having watched this quality young and talented football player compete since he was at the youth level, there is no doubt that when he matures he will be something very special. Has the speed and arm strength to play the position. Playing at three schools in three years is never good, but this is someone who thrives on the competition.

2019 - Cairiq Rackley, QB, Miami Palmetto. Another of the elite football players who has really come into his own – and everyone is starting to see it. Still a very good baseball player, football will provide more for him immediately – as he has a good chance to play at a solid program, where he can still play baseball.

2020 - Edwin Rhodes III, QB, Plantation American Heritage. It’s his time to keep the train rolling for the two-time defending state champions, and with a lot of watching and learning, and using the offseason, this is someone who could really be the big junior surprise in 2018.

TAPE: https://www.hudl.com/profile/7537310/Edwin-Rhodes

2019 - Daniel Richardson, Miami Carol City. New environment, stronger overall program and the challenge of playing in the toughest district in the nation – not that he didn’t face all of them at Booker T. Washington - but Richardson could very well be the difference this coming season, which should result in plenty of Miami-Dade County records.

2019 - T.J. Smith, Hollywood South Broward. While rumors having him moving on, it may be a mistake as the Bulldogs really fit his style, and as a two-year starter already, this is someone who has really made some major strides and momentum that could be derailed by a move. He is a leader and possesses some skills.

2019 - Isaiah Velez, QB, North Miami. There is NOT a more underrated quarterback prospects in South Florida than this gifted playmaker who displays everything you need in a quarterback prospect. Has good speed, a solid arm and is schedule to have a few big time, Power 5 receivers to help the Pioneers defend a district title.

2020 – Jesse Rivera, Western. Over the past two years, here is a promising quarterback prospect that has truly made some major strides. Quality young man who learned quite a bit from the coaches at Archbishop McCarthy before making the move to play for the playoff-tested Wildcats. Could be a major surprise this coming season. Very good arm strength as he still is learning about the position.

Torey Morrison is the youngest on that list and was just playing in the youth leagues a couple years ago.  Wasn't he a dominant defensive player as well in youth football?
