Sharkbait reacted to Golincolntrojans in 33 Columbia vs lincoln 36 final
Hey I've been a Lincoln fan since you were in kindergarten. I'd salute you for your team's good season but am tired of your "Columbia is the greatest" baloney week after week. We aren't having a good stretch in the past 3 or 4 years but at least we aren't telling the world we are better than the teams we lose to. Columbia is a decent team who was upset by another team that outdid them when it counted. You can mock us all you want but fact is Columbia is done. Sit back and enjoy the playoffs and be thankful for your team's success rather than insulting the team that knocked you out.

Don't take it to heart Columbia. Most people on this forum think you do a great job. You are obviously a dedicated supporter of your team which is a very good thing and you do have a wealth of useful information to share. I just wish a couple of these people would be as dedicated about their team as they are about finding something to criticize regarding the support you give to your team. Yes, you may be a little over the top at times. However, it's never bothered me and don't see why it bothers some others. Please, keep posting as most of us read what you post.

Sharkbait got a reaction from Bamarod in Playoff attendance
One problem we have with championship attendance is having games on Thursday afternoon etc. I think you would do better not having all games at 1 venue. Let's face it 4500 people in a 60000 seat stadium is a little sad looking. If you had a couple of smaller regional stadiums and have teams play at the stadium most geographically central to the 2 teams. Better turnout less cost to teams.

I think FHSAA does get some of it and I am just going by percentages that someone told me last week which may be off a little, but my overall point that everyone benefits financially from more asses in the seats is the same. If you can't get a crowd at home your only advantage as a team is not having to travel.

1a should be held at Tiger Stadium
We can hold over 8k people and it's almost dead center on travel for teams in 1a

So less than 500 dollars gate. How do they even pay the officials?

I think this is just the beginning, we can copy Nebraska's wetland management program, their coastal construction plan, and their saltwater fisheries management.

Sharkbait got a reaction from Joshua Wilson in Josh is pissed
If you haven't seen on twitter where some a**hole told Josh to stop begging for sponsors and get a "real" job then let me tell you, ole JW got hot. I'm proud of Josh for standing up for himself his team and his website, while remaining professional the whole time. I would have most likely cussed the guy, his fat wife, his whore momma, his ugly kids, and his mangy dog. But Josh kept it together.

Using my awesome math skills I have come up with the average scores for the 1A-4A first round games
1A 46-14
2A 41-11
3A 38-14
4A 41-9
So I think the problem with blowouts has definitely been solved.

Yes but they are too small. Only about 400 in enrollment for each class going from 3A to 7A
In Florida your enrollment doesn't determine how good you are.
Cocoa has 900 or 1,000 kids and they would steamroll everyone in 8A except maybe the top 5 teams in 8A and they would be even with those 5.
Jax TC is 3A and they beat 8A West Orange a few years back 42-7 when West Orange went 12-2 and the 8A semi finals.
The state needs to de emphasize the enrollment scale and condense the classes

4 games played and none were competitive.
Closest game was 21-3.
Cocoa made a mockery of Lake Placid even being in the playoffs. Champagnat as well with Neumann. They let there foot off the gas. I think they were winning by 4 scores in the 1st quarter.
Lot of blowouts coming tonight too. I guess there is no avoiding it

Sharkbait reacted to Cat_Scratch in The tradition of playing for a state title.
They go to IMG for a higher level of training. Most of the student athletes that go to IMG probably already had scholarships, what they didn't have was a college like environment. Does your school offer a dietitian or psychiatrist on campus? You have the best tutors for any subject. Living on campus you never miss school? How many coaches at your school played in the NFL? IMG has/had 7 coaches with NFL experience that played for a combined 45 years or more in the NFL. I fairly certain the students are not so worried about a state championship, but rather like playing on a team that is high caliber and plays a national schedule every year against the best in the nation. The have beaten more state champs in the last three years than any team has in the last 10. If IMG keeps going like they are they will have beaten more Out of State and In State Champs than any team in history, and not just for football, but all sports.
There are a lot of students that would love to get away from a broken home or boring life in the corn fields. Many have different reasons for going to IMG. Some like the discipline and routine and being around students with the same goals in life. Most are less likely to have trouble find them. And some miss their old life and go back home.
IMG is a once in a lifetime chance, and if your son or daughter is ever offered a scholarship to IMG for any reason, I hope you are smart enough to encourage them to take it.

I was hoping Franklin County could be in a bowl. It would be awesome for that community but I haven't seen anything mentioned on them.
