I will continue to beat the promotion/relegation drum.

Promotion and Relegation is about solving the problem of competitiveness and participation on a weekly and season basis.
You put the 128 "worst" teams in one classification, where there are 16 districts of 8 teams each and only a district champion is making the playoffs. I promise the "state champion" of that classification is going to have 10-13 wins. For the average fan, we would look and see a deserving team winning. Now, would the people on here think they are a great team, probably not, but who cares. They faced teams of similar history and won. They most likely will move up a classification and be average for a while. 
If teams are competitive, you will see more players and more community involvement.

Here is the key.  If a kid makes a full and complete move the county will give him good cause.   
 
Dr D said the kid was at a private school so he probably didn't move trying to move back to the public school.  
 

Not many people can say they have beat a Bill Castle coached team 5 times.  I can.  Those were some great games between Osceola and Lakeland from 2006-2014.  Castle is the GOAT of high school football.  I have no bone in this battle anymore.  Good luck to both teams it should be a good one.

The entitlement of kids(probably the adults) today is amazing.  Maybe the cheer and band raised money to spend the night.   Did football raise money or do you just expect it to be given to you. Oh no we got to drive 4 hours play a game and then drive back home.  I hope Jones beats that ass.

Just know now that these aren’t really state titles anymore. They are area titles. You aren’t playing the best from the state. 
 
This change was designed to make inferior teams feel better about themselves that they don’t have to compete with the best. 
 
Hell just calling it the Suburban class takes away the “state title” term. It’s the suburban title. That’s it

My junior year we got into a fight with Ernest Ward in football.  Now a days everyone would be suspended for 6 games.  No one was ejected lol.  The game had a few minutes left and they just ended the game.
