Wow, they made a couple of runs at state in the late 90's. Ran into St. Thomas and Lakeland in those finals.

I don't think Rutherford had many more than that last year.  They came to PSJ and were just too young to compete it was 34-0 at the half.  Rutherford did however get better during the year and managed to make the playoffs(only 3 wins and wouldn't make it under the new system).  I don't really know what the issue is with numbers though I think they are losing players to Bay, Mosley, and NBH.  A really good coach once told me "you just need 11 good ones".

I think when Chiefland won there championship they only had 18 or 19
