Had Knight done better, one way or another, he'd stay there at Jesuit. But, he struggled, this kid emerged, and so it was easier to make the move. Dad could've waited, or found a way to keep son there until December.

Is the Dad military? If so there is no waiting unless you have the time in service and pull to deny the orders without getting forced into another assignment or retirement.

I'm guessing that guy in the video is not Mr. Burk, Mr. Dereese or Mr. Butler.   Who are they, you ask?  From MaxPreps, their kids would appear to be the existing QB's at Merritt Island. 

Knight's departure from Jesuit opened up the door for Griffin.  Knight's arrival at Merritt Island likely will close a door for one or more kids who have dreamed of being a high school QB.   Life's just no fair sometimes, right?

Well to be frank, the QB play at Merritt Island has been hit or miss playing all of three. Dereese technically isn't originally a QB. And yes he's related to Muhammad DeReese who was a great back for Titusville and ventured into mma with a brief stint on the ultimate fighter. The other QB is a transfer from Seabreeze I'm assuming he was the backup to Boda.

Even though the Holy Trinity game isn't an overtly tough game for Merritt Island, it will be an extremely emotional one, due to them going up against their former head coach. He left Merritt Island to be an assistant for a former teammate at Prairie View A&M, then turned around and took the job at Holy Trinity a few months later.
