OHS KOWBOYS 21 - WEST ORANGE WARRIOR 10

Despite holding out 2 starting OL, our all state RB and a few other key players to have them available next week in the playoffs our running attack in the second half wore down West Orange for a grind it out win.  As usual the defense played lights out with 3 INT's and completely shut out any ground game they attempted.  Big win to provide us a small boost heading into the playoffs next week.  Looks likely we will be headed to Treasure Coast next week.  Look forward to the challenge.  GO KOWBOYS!!

That's about what I expected.

We were trailing 10-7 at halftime and the OL with power running took over in the second half for two long, time consuming drives for TD's.  As I previously mentioned we intentionally held Swint out as well as Sinophant the second string RB and relied on the other two young guys to just gut it out which they did fighting and scrapping for every yard to get the job done.  Not sure of the stat line, but we probably gained 200 yards rushing, most of it in the second half.  If we can find a way to get 3 scores, we have a chance as our defense is not giving up 40+points like I have seen with several of the top ranked teams headed into the playoffs.  In any region, a #1 seed vs #8 seed usually is a lopsided game.  We shall see.
