Ways to tell if football near you is any good

So the system we are stuck with puts an embarrassing amount of bad teams in the playoffs. It’s disgusting and needs to change. So the first 2 rounds are used to do what the FHSAA should be doing which is weed out the bad ones from the good ones.

So after the 2nd round, once all the teams that shouldn’t have qualified are gone, look around. How much football do you see still being played around you? If it’s little to none, then you most likely are in an area that doesn’t have quality football to begin with. And that’s ok. The point of the exercise is to observe this and understand it.

“After helping yourself with leftover thanksgiving Turkey Friday morning take a good look outside. Actually go outside. Smell the dew on the grass. Look left, look right. Take a great big breath. Exhale slowly. If playoff football is but a bicycles drive from where you dwell consider yourself lucky. You my friend are in a football hot spot. Do not take it for granted. There are millions of your fellow Floridians that do not have that luxury. They have moved onto other sports. The cleats have been hung up. Jerseys have been turned in. The tears from seniors realizing they will never play another down of football in their life have dried up. All of the lambs have been sacrificed. This is when the season actually starts. Enjoy it while you can”
