There are plenty of good coaches around the state.

Rick Darlington, Castle, Robert Weiner, Bill Gierke, Mark Guandolo, and Ice Harris just to name a few.

Now there are teams that can stack all star rosters and be successful like Roger Harriot, Pat Surtain, Verlon Dorminey and David Penland. These guys just recruit the best players in the area and can just out class the rest of the teams in their division.

A lot of times these teams go out and lose to less talented better coached teams from out of state. AHP almost lost against Colquitt who lost 5 games and got blown out many times. It's because the coaching for Colquitt kept them in it and AHP is run by chickens with their head cut off.

This state doesn't invest enough money in head coaches and assistant coaches and it shows in top national matchups all the time

I would argue that Harriot and his staff are really good at what they do. Watch their concepts on both sides of the ball and their teams. They put their kids in good spots. Just because he is a new coach and people don't know him as well doesn't mean he isn't a good coach and only wins because of his "all star" roster. Come on, give credit where credit is due. I do agree with you on some stuff about the quality of coaches as a whole being extremely mediocre. Its a joke what the coaches get paid around here and without the quality of players around, these coaches would be out of the job. Take these mediocre coaches to GA, AL, TX, etc...they'd be fired in a heartbeat.
